Mass reporting is a major problem

Mass reporting and giving out 7 day bans for CHAT issues is a major problem. There is no warnings you are not given a reason as to why without multi tickets… BLIZZARD you can do better and I expect better…

only people who are gonna get enough reports like this are doing something to bring on all this negative attention :expressionless: if this is seriously a problem for you, try just keeping to yourself, your guild, your friends. don’t become some big public figure everyone loves to hate.

Not true, 1 post in the wrong type of channel is enough. You should not get a 7 day ban because you are unfamiliar with all of TOS. Especially when a warning would be enough to correct the issue.

I thought that chat violations normally result in a chat silence, not a suspension.

Have you had previous chat silences on your account?

No, there were no warnings and no prior chat silences or bans.

we don’t believe you that you said 1 thing in the wrong channel and were banned for 7 days :expressionless:

If you got banned for comments you made in chat, it should be self explanatory I would think, why on do you think you should get a warning?

Weird.

Mistakes do happen. Your best bet would be to appeal the account action. The link is here

ok, well it is a thing and I have seen it. You can be mass reported for anything. How many people dont even know that the services channel is a thing. I didnt until a friend got silenced for 7 days.

ok now you’re backtracking and admitting it was just a silence and not a ban :expressionless:

Warning are given first in the form of silences. You only skip that step and go right to ban for doing something very blatantly against tos. Mass reporting has nothing to do with it. Don’t break the rules and you are fine

Can you make up your mind already? Is it a ban from the game or a chat ban? Because there’s no way it’s the former. I’ve said plenty of very toxic sh1t and only ever gotten silenced.

Not banned for 7 days.

Christ. People complaining on a forum not even knowing wtf they are complaining about.

It all falls under blizzards categorizing it as abusive speech… Thats what the bans says even when there is no mean or abusive speech said. The chat that was mass reported is usually offering services and not being in the Services channel or selling not in trade channel. My problem with this is… They do not tell you why you are silenced or banned… No link to the chat. You are just banned or silenced and have no way of knowing why without putting in a ticket…

Well if enough people seemed to feel your speech was abusive, you can probably figure out what it was.

Ive had 2 friend BANNED for 7 days for advertising in the wrong channel… Not spamming mind you… No silence was giving. 7 day bans.

Post in CS if you really wanna know/see.

Otherwise you’re just here to complain and not get a resolution.

There was no name calling or anything like that. They just advertised in the wrong channel and this is why its a problem… Anyone can report you for anything…If enough people do you can be banned. I do not believe that Blizzard is following up on anything or checking if the crime fits the punishment.

copy/pasting service advertisements to channels i can see is abusive :expressionless:

I made a post in CS. I didnt know thats were i should have made a post…

Blizzard seems to be very consistent about not allowing services being spammed in the wrong channel, while maybe it sucks if you/they just make a mistake, if they didn’t take a harsh stance people would simply spam the other channels and get aways with it.

Also for obvious violations, allowing any appeals, simply creates the wrong message and will result in more spam to the channels, and when those spammers get reported and blocked, it results in more appeals. The best option is simply to take a hard line for Blizzard.
