Mass report abuse and lack of customer support

Does not prove that they all did.

You not liking what they posted doesn’t make them a troll.

If you had reported them instead of responding to them they would be the ones Silenced, not you.

Just as a fair warning - the blues here REALLY dislike folks when they come here with a chip on their shoulder and pick fights with everyone. This is the most heavily modded form out of all the forums of WoW.

just a fair warning- I dont care and will not respond to trolls like you any more

The CS forums are a player-to-player helpdesk, moderated by Blue Posters, but you’re not guaranteed a blue response. If you only want an employee response, then the only option is to wait on your appeal.

Blizzard, wisely in my opinion, does not allow appeals via chats or callbacks. If nothing else, I can’t help but imagine that they would always be fights.

Wow, really can’t imagine why you’re getting reported in-game by other players (/sarcasm). Maybe calm it down a bit?

And a ticket is the way to do that. While a Blue here might take a look and provide a little insight, they’re still not able to overturn any account actions as they’re not GMs.

the time to get to a gm is at least 24 hours, meaning the trolls win. thats what this ticket is about, get some more GMs, hire some people or lose your customers. I already unsubbed over this.

This post isn’t a ticket and won’t result in them hiring even more GMs. They currently have more GMs than they have in recent times. You assuming that you have to wait on your ticket doesn’t mean they don’t have enough GMs.

To be clear, if you’re silenced until May, then a GM has already seen your in-game chat and applied the silence. The “trolls” didn’t win, a Blizz employee decided that you broke the chat rules again and every single time this happens, the silence doubles.

you keep talking like you know what youre talking about but you clearly do not. the automatic silence email said the time my silence was until, I received this email INSTANTLY after they mass reported me. Why is this poster greentext when they simply are stating false information as fact?

Because folks here, like myself, know for a fact for what you’re saying isn’t true, to any degree. When a Blue does post, they’ll lock this thread down, clean it up maybe and shade some light on this whole thing.

lol now im getting notifications that all my posts are being hidden for being reported. yikes, some community you have here blizzard.

Then that was much more likely a coincidence. They do happen. But people mass reporting you will not result in an instant silence.

I’ve been posting in the CS forums for many years now and most here know that I don’t tend to go out of my way to try and be wrong or provide misinformation.

Best of luck with your appeal.

I miss the days when someone was silenced or suspended in game, they lost their forum privileges for the duration.

again with the false information.

I’m looking forward to seeing your link to Blizz info showing I’m wrong.

The “Were you silenced or squelched” argument is academic. It’s going to take more than 4 reports to get you silenced, whether or not a GM looks at it or not. Even if those reports were for innocuous chat - which I’m sure that I’d consider “You are dumb” in a clearly non-joking context to be - there’s got to be more reports going on.

In any case, this is not the correct place to appeal it, and debating it here will not change it. You need to wait on the appeal ticket.

want to be linked to the email I received the second they reported me? physically impossible for a GM to have reviewed the case in 1 second, and if a GM had reviewed the case, I would not have been silenced. Stop speaking as if you are saying facts when you do not know what you are talking about.

Just to clarify, a squelch can happen from multiple reports, but is not a silence. A squelch is a temporary measure to ensure someone is not spamming, say, hack attempt spam. The squelch lasts as long as it takes for a GM to review the reports, then either the account is closed, or a silence for chat violations is applied. Only GM staff actually apply a silence, and they are always reviewed both when the silence is applied, and when they are appealed.
