if you are trying to get extremely technical to prove your point about marksman and how they are a sniper and only rely on themselves and their shots, then there cannot be any pet, not a summonable pet nor a non-interactive passive pet. this is why your argument fails you. so dont try to get technical.
Cool part is I donât need to. Itâs literally something you can see for yourself
being contradictive is not being smart. just makes you look bad. congrats!
Ask me if I care. Doesnât make you right about something that is plainly obvious. How you choose to react to that is your problem.
i would quit while im ahead if i were you. you are coming off very childish right now.
LOL youâre the one throwing a tantrum
ouch. struck a nerve. have a great day. go for a walk and cool yourself down. these forums are taking a toll on you. you 100% do not have the mentality for sensible discussions. byebye!
Aw poor orc has to take their ball and go home. The street lights arenât even on yet!
Anyone that actually plays mm seriously is going âfinallyâ casual andies that afks in town 22 hours a day âWILL UNSUBâ
I have been. The wording of Kaivaxâs post makes it clear that they do not consider being able to directly control it independent of your own actions or having HP is a needful distinction for what makes a pet, a pet.
Given that the eagle is a NPC in its own right, not a static animation tied to specific ability and it is triggered by events other than a specific spell, means it is not a spell effect. AMoC is tied specifically to DRâs Black Arrow (at least thatâs the only place Iâve seen it trigged, it could be on a different talent tree elsewhere), and does not exist outside of that trigger.
With unique interactions being one such customization. It is still referred to as a pet.
Presumably so you canât dodge it getting killed with a last-second keypress, especially in PvP - the despawn time requires you to manage gamespace pets more proactively. The whole point of the Eagle is to create a Hunter spec that gets to do archery without that consideration, with the tradeoff being you have to pay more attention to your personal defenses/risks like every other petless ranged spec.
In a perfect world there wouldnât be such inconsistency, sure. And we wouldnât have bugs or glitches either.
But having a Hunter spec that doesnât need to deal with pet pathing is exactly the kind of efficient solution that would be practical here, rather than expecting them to finally perfect pet pathfinding in all content.
âUnique interactionsâ is too vague for us to conclude definitively on what that means. Youâre assuming one thing, Iâm assuming another, we simply wonât know until they clarify.
Not to mention those of us who WANT to play an archer/gunner character, but canât stand the current pet-centric fantasy or mechanical micromanagement (or loss of utility, before people bring up LW again) in difficult content.
I play it seriously, as do many others.
I donât know what unique interactions are, and Iâm not prepared to speculate beyond they intend to make it a bigger part of the spec.
Funny enough on our side of the âplayer choiceâ argument, most of us want both to be possible. I too do not want to do anything with pets. Being forced to use a pet offends me. Having player choice being taken away, offends me. This part of the rework does both and is needless to accomplish the rest of the goals.
Neither am I, so all I can go off of is the PTR, which has the version of MM that I want.
You have the player choice to play BM or SV. And Blizzard can focus on optimizing the pet experience for those specs where LW isnât an option.
PvP is of minimal interest to me in terms of game design.
Which seems entirely unnecessary in PvE, and while I can acknowledge this will be a net benefit for Marksmanship, this doesnât fix the pet utility issue for BM or Survival, who will still need to actively eat downtime to swap pets depending on needs.
I just donât like removing options, and I say that as somebody who is in favor of these changes.
Thatâs a choice removed, since you can currently play MM with a pet.
Itâs like you cannot read.
Did you want to try again and actually give a response that matches what I stated?
Can we give BM less emphasis on pets and more on the playerâs actions instead?
Can we kill melee SV and make it a ranged spec again?
Should just add a pet that just does 0 damage and contributes nothing to appease the crowd mad about the literal change that lets you play mm properly and they would still be mad lol
Cool, Iâm glad at least some of the hunters donât feel the need to complain.
Because, to answer your question, I feel the need to say something because as a DH I get a whopping 1 DPS spec to choose from and 1 Tank Spec to choose from. And I donât tank much so Iâm not in high demand in groups. Which is kinda where hunters are. They have a role to fill in groups but you donât want more than 1 for the most part.
I understand if I donât like how Havoc is playing itâs my option to stop playing it. I may voice my dissatisfaction, but Iâll leave it at that. Seeing children fill the forums complaining where they donât really have the right to complain that much is annoying. Because at least they have options. If Havoc is changed and I donât like it I either suffer through or donât get to play my favorite class.
But you donât see DHâs filling the forums with complaints about limited spec choices. And I like coming to the forums for theory stuff, but being forced to see Hunters complaining like their tiny voices will make a difference gets annoying after a while. So I try to help them understand they are freaking out over literally nothing then when they prove their childishness by arguing against fact the irritation takes over and Iâm committed to the thread because I never found a theory thread to interact with.
Iâm glad the people who donât like this change have places they can vocalize their displeasure. Not so glad that people feel the need to be exceptionally rude to them.
They donât have the right to complain? LOL
As much as they do. No.
And I stand firm on that because what is complaining accomplishing? Especially about something you have no actual information on. All information on the changes is largely theory crafted because there will be some changes from its PTR version before 11.1 launch.
So youâre wasting time by posting the same thing 1000 times. If all the complaining had been contained to a thread or two, I would have never seen them and would be completely ignorant to the changes because I donât play Hunter. But they have made it my problem by forcing me to see an unnecessary amount of threads on the topic. Everyoneâs saying the same thing but feels the need to post a new thread about it? Blizzard isnât backing out any further than they already have.
Iâve always said you do you. But when that ends with you forcing me to interact with you then you doing you has become other peopleâs problems. And at that point, you deserve whatever comes your way.
