Marksman on the PTR - AMAZING CHANGE

I’m sorry you feel other people’s opinions are trolling simply because they differ from yours.

This is also how I tend to play my BM spec. Two pets are cute, but I like the option of having a single pet and getting more flexibility from it.

The three specs of hunter were already unique, so this is a lie.

It doesn’t make sene to remove the option to summon one entirely, this is nonsense argument

This is also nonsense argument, since blizzard already said every spec should be able to do every content, this is not a game where a spec need to change to do a solo content.

You dont care about flavour

You can’t manage bad ai and aweful pathing anymore with how endgame content is designed now.

So, since this IS going to happen. Will you try it? Or will you be here championing some “Give us our pet back!” thread?

Agreed. Good hunters were hard to find. The other “nickname” given to hunters were definitely a dime a dozen

Nothing is set to stone till the patch goes live, and even then, thereafter, it can still change like it did before. Not holding my breath, but possibility exist :tipping_hand_man:t5:

Try what? i tested on ptr, its imo worse than live.

Oh definitely, until my sub runs out that is, and there is nothing you can do to stop it

I wouldn’t dream of stopping your sub from running out.

I’ve tried it. It sucks. But not just because of the pets being taken away. It’s just boring as hell. It’s slow and you spend far more time standing still casting the least interesting looking spell in the game. No barrage or wailing arrow. A way worse trueshot. Just the bare bones of a spec with no flash or excitement. The current marksman feels great. Solving the lust without a pet issue is one thing, but I cannot fathom why they thought this complete overhaul was necessary.

You can literally keep all of that and not lose pets. A zero damage pet that is a taunt bot would be fine.

At the end of the day its really truly irrelevant why people want to keep them - because even if there is NO reason to keep them other than 1 person in all of WoW wants them, doing so has no impact on people who dont want them.

None.

Zero.

Not a single bit of impact whatsoever.

Which begs the question - if it doesnt affect the game, doesnt affect you and you never use them why would you even care or have an opinion in the first place? You’re literally unaffected.

The only explanation is youre getting off on other peoples misery. There is no other reason.

They shouldn’t have taunt either. They can be cosmetic only for MM hunters so those who want to have them tag along can, the majority that took Lone Wolf anyway can ignore them entirely and not lose any utility for it.

I took lone wolf, I have used my pet at times as MM and never once felt bad for it.

Your comment makes no sense. In the rework, who is your pocket tank should you need it? How would taunting to yourself be any different than the current face tanking MM has to do in the rework? What utility would be lost by allowing MM to optional a pet to tank given content that you get elsewhere in the spec?

How would you be missing out on something youd never use just because someone else did use it? For people who want to never use a pet, an option existing and you not using it is LITERALLY IDENTICAL to an option not existing so you cant use it for your gameplay. Someone else who DOES use it doesnt change that all. You are literally unaffected.

This argument is literally “I dont use it therefore you shouldnt have it” which is about as dumb as an argument can get.

The only way that makes even the slightest bit of sense is if you DO believe they are useful and you would have to use them if they were available in which case why would you want them gone entirely?

You are absolutely grasping at straws to justify a position you cant even articulate a reason for having without contradicting your own reasons.

At the end of the day you would be 100% completely and utterly unaffected by other MM Hunters having a pet so your opinion on it is meaningless because its not about you or your gameplay and has no effect on you or your gameplay.

Its on top because of two known bugs

Yeah, because having an opinion different from others and actually enjoying it isn’t also possible. You people are really dramatic.

Yeah this is an intellectually dishonest response and you know it.

Its a case of “Option A is we both get to play in exactly the way we want without impacting each other and option B is only I get to play in exactly the way I want and you dont get to - and I enjoy Option B more”.

Literally the only difference between the two choices is Option B someone is missing out. Which means if you “enjoy” or want that option more then thats the bit you enjoy/want.

We’re talking about options available that don’t take away from your enjoyment. You lose nothing.

And you are being disingenuous if you think other people are not entitled to their opinions. Grow up.

And I was solely talking about someone enjoying the change, even with the pet removal. It is possible for others to like the changes you vehemantly hate.

No one is saying that the rest of the rework is bad, our point of contention is losing player expression and options. They could keep everything else the same and give people the option to pick their own pet if they wanted to.

Of course, but that is a straw man position that I haven’t see anyone hold, either. So… gratz on gloating over the corpse of something that isn’t real?
