Marksman hunters use pets in the lore

Not that anyone is taking seriously when you try to claim the eagle is still a pet. It clearly isn’t filling the role the old pet had, arguing the semantics is just disingenuous.

The discord between Marksmanship Hunters and their pets felt like something that needed to be solved-- and our goal was to solve that problem in a way that not only reembraced pets as a part of Marksmanship’s identity, but also did it in a unique and fantasy-forward way.

Blizzard is calling it at pet. They intend it to be a pet.

In Undermine(d), Marksmanship Hunters are losing access to “traditional” pets, like Survival and Beast Mastery have, and are instead permanently joined in battle by an Eagle

There will be player choice, they have stated as much it will have customization. I was fondly attached to many things in the game that are no longer here.

I’m still waiting on Dance Studio. Blizzard has failed to deliver on promises before.
