Mark Your Calendars: The Journey to the Dragon Isles Begins November 28

yay let’s goooo
:dracthyr_blob_dance_animated:

A patch focused on customization would be a dream. Nightborne finally being worth the time that it takes to get them. Glyphs for more class customization, even if they just recolor spells it would be great.

If winds of wisdom starts next week will it continue until dragonflight releases or will it end at prepatch?

I have no desire to level in shadowlands at all. Either keep it after prepatch or make chromie time active until lvl 60

Nice. Cannot wait to continue the journey of my characters

The xp buff ends at prepatch launch, but it seems the subsequent level squish will make it seem like the xp buff is still there – after prepatch launches.

Hopeful of the coming expansion the past few have been over complicated with systems when I play I like talents raids dungeons new pvp arena/battlegrounds cool gear sets with unique bonuses artifact power is not so fun so hopefully this leads to a more fulfilling experience and is a step in the right direction but please don’t release it until its ready.

They could add in glyphs to change spell colors! A .5 patch with maybe a questline or two that unlocks customization options like the night warrior eyes and dark ranger look on top of ALL races getting customization upgrades would be lovely! I doubt it will ever happen, but a gal can dream haha

Blah.

Just save winds of wisdom for prepatch. Or make chromie time reach to level 60

Dang a little too soon in my opinion, was hoping it wouldn’t drop until after the middle of December. SO much to freaking do before then ugh need more time…

The winds of wisdom really does just feel like something to hold us over till the massive exp nerfs. Unless they change them again this late into the Beta, it’ll be much easier to level.

I’m with you. I’m not willing to shell out whatever they’re asking for Shadowlands right now just for less than a month. All so I can be prepared for DF launch. And this makes me want to skip DF if I can’t be prepared for it.

Hopefully the level squish is enough.

Now to decide if I want to buy it or not. Raiding starting in December is so BLAHHHHHHH… yet if you don’t start right away you fall behind in gear and struggle to get into pugs. So it’s a no win situation

I think in two months people will be well settled in Wrath and can play both comfortably if they so choose.

This gives plenty of Blizzard exposure around the beginning of winter and into the holidays probably when a lot of people are gaming the most.

They have to have seasonal/raid stuff start within 2-3 weeks post launch. And they don’t want to have launch weeks staff on call during the usually blocked off 3 weeks of vacation (last 2 weeks of Dec and first week of January).

Just look at all prior patch and expansion launch windows. They even delayed 8.3 to January 2020 cause they didn’t want to launch for holiday 2019, so as to give employees a break.

Kinda feels useless for them not to announce the pre-patch at this point. They have to know that we know the leak date, why hide it?

Damage control. All the people who are in the know, know about it. But they are designing around the “facebook crowd” and people who live in extreme information gaps (aka not finding out until after event starts or from the launcher).

Amazing how people still want to live or die on when to do things based off blizzard’s words. Have friends in the past thought they had more time for pvp seasons but were told by attentive others, hey don’t wait that long to get stuff done. Blizz has burned you before. Nope they didn’t listen.

I’d say they’re still not set on the October 25th date. The pre-patch date is a lot more flexible than the expansion release date. And with the new talent trees + Evokers + the event coming with it (balancing hasn’t even happened yet and the event hasn’t even been tested yet), they might decide to delay it for a week if they have to.

Why are you wasting PTO?

I don’t take leaks as gospel but I also don’t completely discount them if that makes sense? I’ll keep the leaked date in mind when I’m trying to figure out if I have the time for something, but I won’t know for sure until a dates officially announced.
