Mana sucks

Disagree. It’s about experimenting. Rogue tanks? Lock tanks? Also they already baked in better ways for pallys to gain back some mana. It’s there. Nothing is really out of bounds here.

There’s a fine line between “mix it up” and “make it not vanilla and more like retail.” People like to play this game because it was modeled after things like Everquest and DND. You get rid of that and you’re basically just recreating retail all over again. Which literally already exists.

This isn’t an opinion to disagree with. This is the second Vanilla Seasonal server, not the first, and Developers have already outlined what their intentions for seasonal servers are and mixing up the class meta is a surface level change compared to what you’re suggesting.

Any issues classes are facing in the game should be addressed through the rune system alone on a case by case basis.

When you make a change to a core mechanic which impacts multiple classes, you’re likely to end up with unintended consequences.

They shouldn’t change it, because that’s part of the mage class identity, but this is why I could never get into mage instead of warlock in vanilla. Even though mage is better in most settings than warlock. Don’t like to drink.

Still helps after not casting for 5 seconds. Which will happen on longer fights. I don’t know why people are complaining, they knew caster limitations at early levels going into this.

don’t be childish.

even in 2004 people had good enough computers to simply alt tab and watch a music video, or literally anything else.
it wasnt the stone age in 2004. we had technology. lmao

Its funny watching zoomers pretend they were playing in 2004. They’re like: “everyone was on 56k!” like no bro, people were playing with cable and DSL lol.

Call me when casters can wand while casting.

sounds like you wont be happy until every class has every skill, is completely homogenized, and no one has any unique identity. retail is that way breh ----->

People are complaining because Blizzard decided to make level 25 a temporary level cap and the class balance is atrocious. There are simple fixes to make it better without imbalancing the rest of the game.

BFD doesn’t have to simulate the rest of the classic. There are WSG specific consumes. They can easily add a BFD consume that returns mana quickly out of combat. Casters just want to play their class not wand to conserve mana. They still have to sit and drink, there downtime would just be significantly lessened.

If Blizzard wants classes to be as OP as vanilla warriors in SOD, they really need to look at caster class tuning. It’s already apparent that SOD is still world of warrior craft and casters are still bad.

Pointless complaining. It’s a temp cap and most people knew casters would be terrible to play early.

I’m more of a person that wants Blizzard to balance things, especially when they are rebalancing things every week. Without any changes, casters will be bad at 60. We know how warriors perform at 60. It’s going to take a lot for other classes to get to that level. Casters start at an enormous deficit with the base game.

Post BFD logs

No, and you know they won’t be lol. Mage will skyrocket in 40 cap and so will shadow priest.

Vanilla, Classic, Era, Hardcore, now SoD.

Nobody wants to play World of Warriors for the 5th time

Was it though? Like actual question. A lot of interviews with Vanilla/TBC era devs have one line or another about how half of what ended up in the game was just their first iteration that they never had time to go back to. It’s very clear that the itemization changes in later tiers and the class overhauls in TBC that a lot of this wasn’t “designed” so much as happened.

warriors do almost 2.5 times as much dps now as shadow priests. Talents are not going to suddenly make spriests do 2.5 x dps compared to warriors that will also get new abilities and talents. I guess the swd buff will reduce that ratio a bit, but it’s not even close.

What are mages going to get at 40 they don’t have now? They will be able to last longer in fights, which is great, but it’s not like they’ll get some magical talent that will skyrocket their dps compared to other classes.

It’ll be better, but not much different at 40 compared to now.

the point is, casters need stronger runes or additional balancing is needed if they are going to catch up to warriors, which is stated goal of the SOD team, is to make all classes as OP as vanilla warriors.

Reroll Druid… they get a rune that allows them to cast Wrath for free… plus Innervate later…

Caster suck at lower levels by design. Why anyone expected otherwise is beyond me.

I’m keeping my eyes on rogues at 40. With 40 energy backstab they will have access to +20% backstab dmg, +30% crit with backstab, and +30% crit dmg with backstab while reaching imp SnD. May not make up for the loss of Deadly Brew which is OP, but it wouldnt surprise me.
