I’ve never really tried RP servers, but in general aren’t there RP specific addons that handle names separately?
Officially under blizzards rules there are stricter guidelines for names on RP servers, separate and independent from any RP addons.
Without an RP server existing, for all intents and purposes, those rules have no effect for any anniversary server. The best people can get is to ignore all character names and only utilize addons if they’re that down bad for as clean of an RP experience as they can get for these new servers.

You still see the stupid non-names of everyone without the addon. Kinda ruins the experience. On RP realms you get far less of that kind of thing. And after playing on the anniversary realm after 18 years of RP realms, the chats are the hardest thing to get used to. Its as if the whole server is made of 10 year olds who haven’t even learned their mother tongue yet.

Their attitude toward RP during this classic refresh has been apathetic at best, insulting at worst.
It’s not like RP is some sort of foreign concept. I guess the min-maxed SoD parse bros that make up the dev team are laughing at us nerds. That’s honestly what it feels like.
