Man, the Horde really did get the short end of BFA huh

Personally I liked the Horde story better. I really liked the art work on the Alliance side, the way they created the main city and the old time villages but somehow a Blood Elf main playing a Human saving Jaina from her crazy mother was cring worthy.

It was little more than a domestic.

Jesus, I just stumbled across some Alliance Player dialogue that I’d never seen before from Siege of Orgrimmar, and it has weakened my desire to continue leveling this character and increased my inclination to just stick with all my Horde characters.

The writing is so awful and paints the Alliance in SUCH a bad light. The Alliance Player comes off like an arrogant racist bully. Yikes.

problem is, I REALLY like the Void Elf Aesthetic. bleh.

Wondering now, if there is something equally as bad on the Horde side, Player Dialogue-wise.

By all means, stick to the horde. And turn on warmode.

Hard to say, during that expansion Alliance largely felt like they were the Horde’s support character if you get what I mean. I agree with you with the zones, I largely prefer Kul’tiras, Drustvar being my favorite questing zone in pretty much the whole game, but the actual War Campaign was basically: Horde does something suspicious > Alliance reacts.

The only time the Alliance ever did something on their own that xpac was invading Dazar’alor and it was one of the dumbest decisions ever made because it pushed the Zandalari straight into the arms of the Horde, even though the Alliance leaders were well aware that Rastakhan was a complete isolationist wanting to push the Horde away.

Meanwhile Night Elves and Forsaken were doing their own thing in the background.

Fixed that for you.

Hell yeah we win… Although BFA was pretty much the Horde falling apart at the seams while the Alliance took advantage… For the second time.

The Horde canonically lost both Warfronts, too. The Alliance rebuilt Stromgarde, claimed the Arathi Highlands, and kicked the Forsaken and Horde out of Darkshore.

Horde also lost several main characters while Jaina and Mekkatorque, despite “dying”, got away scott free.

Because Alliance.

It’s almost like the instigating side of an unnecessary war were punished…

It’s almost like Blizzard wants everyone to play Alliance.

Honestly I think all the BfA zones were very strong. I love questing in all of them except Stormsong Valley. So for me Horde > Alliance in terms of zones. But Alliance > Horde in terms of cities.

Don’t attribute to malice what can be attributed to incompetence. I’m paraphrasing, obviously.

You guys got to win IN GAME. The only way you know that the Alliance won anything was if you read a book. Alliance doesn’t get to win in game.

Because it was true. I’m an author and it is easy to see that they wrote the Horde story first and then jammed in Alliance characters where they could.

You KNOW this because we see Horde win in game. If you are an Alliance player, you have no idea that you won anything because you weren’t able to defeat the Horde.

yeah that’s why their cities are nicer than Horde gets to an extent, their zones are cleaned up, they get the canon victory every time a war happens, they get a lot of stuff in their colors unlike horde in the trading post, the armor for war within is seemingly alliance colors along with that gryphon’s displayed color. Anyone who says that Blizz favors Horde is kidding themselves at this point. Sure we got vulpera and you guys got robot gnomes but… that’s nothing compared to everything the Alliance has been getting. I mean Alliance even got an alliance only bee mount in BFA and could probably ride around on the mounts Horde got as I don’t recall if they’re Horde only

When BFA was current the opposite view was held pretty strongly by most people. So much so that the Alliance ended up getting exclusive content through patches to even out the scales, so to speak.

and they went directly to the maw to be tortured, while bwonsamdi held the soul of rastakhan and all the other trolls he could…very comical, better put your faith in the loa of death than in elune

bro blizzard night elves so much…

and also why the zandalari are part of the horde? i mean, horde come out of nowhere helping them in a suspicious way, after the alliance invades dazar’alor and kills their king, the horde helps them, ok, but then they just throw the towel and form a ‘’ council’’ that says we should be friends with the people who killed the king of the Zandalari. …how can any troll accept this? you don’t need to be smart to leave the faction and follow your own path after that

“Man, the Horde really did get the short end of BFA huh, but also I’m not complaining about alliance bias”
Make up your mind, you came in here complaining about horde getting shafted for an expansion when your experience is opposite to the reality of what happened. The horde got the better allied race 3/3, less boring quests, better story, battles pushed into alliance zones that to this day have not been given back to the alliance and that’s just the fluff, the flavor. Mechanically the horde had better access to travel around the 2 continents and better racials (this was THE period of orc and troll dominance across almost every class). The horde got served nothing but the fattest of Ws for an entire expansion for the umpteenth expansion in a row and the only reason there’s cries of an “alliance bias” these days is because alliance is finally getting something, anything at all after years of it not being the norm.

If it wasn’t for OCE being the rare region with an alliance majority I’d be horde again in a heartbeat, things were better when I was.

By that you mean that Alliance players were complaining really loudly.

Because that’s what they always do.

Blizzard could delete the Horde from the game entirely and Alliance players would complain about it. “Blizzard never cared about US enough to delete US from the game…”

Except that Alliance has always had better racials, just like they have better racials right now. That’s why most of the “Horde guilds” doing RWF are made up of Dwarves and Night Elves, and why so many of us are playing on these stupid Dwarf characters in our Horde guilds.

The problem was never Alliance racials, the problem was Alliance players, and now that people can play with Alliance overpowered racials in their “Horde” guilds, everybody’s playing Alliance races, as expected.

Regardless, as long as Earthen have some form of Stoneform’s debuff removal (like Dark Irons have), it’s all good.
