Man, Revendreth is just *Chef's Kiss*

Clearly lust is not a sin in the wow universe.

Feel free to party it up with no repercussions.

I still think Revendereth’s pretty lazy in concept. WoW’s done lots with the whole Gothic thing with elven aristocrats/vampire/gargoyles/vampires stuff before. Yet for all that, it seems like the zone built less in WoW lore and more out of references (Brom Stoker’s Dracula, Castlevania, Dark Souls, etc.) RIpe for meme-ry.

However, it’s been my favorite in terms of execution. It feels like the folks at Blizzard had a whole lot more fun writing and designing it.

There is the Harvester of Desire, who occassionally makes T for Teen remarks about Renathal’s passion, and had Theotar as a paramour.

Though she also seems to enconpass desire in a general sense, alongside aspiration and ambition. Probably to stay T for Teen.

All the locked/openable doors in Revendreth make me think they’re working on player homes.

That would be really neat.

Nah a lot of them have chests behind the doors. If you get a mirror when opening an Atonement Crypt, it usually takes you to one of many closed rooms in the Chalice District for a chest.

Once we unlock tier 3 mirrors, we’ll be able to find and repair mirrors around Revendreth for one time use to rewards (eg a mount).

Well, I feel better about unlocking tier 2 mirrors now.

The best part of Ravendreth is the cockney dudes and the first Venthyr you speak to is the voice of Kain in the Legacy of Kain series. Criminally underutilized (sigh).

So since swapping my toon’s Covenants for gameplay reasons I’ve been paying closer attention to the story quests, and more importantly unlocked the party mini-game feature.

I hadn’t gotten to that with my DK here as I was pouring all anima into armor upgrades so I could start to tank mythics. And man if it doesn’t perfectly incapsulate trying to host a party with friends from different social spheres attending.

I’ve only got to the trial run thus far but it’s a pretty entertaining aside. Like if you’d told me WoW was going to try to improve on BFA with a waiter minigame I’d assume they were trying to deliberately sink the IP for some sort of financial scheme. But damnit if it doesn’t somehow work.

Honestly it’s amazing the shear wealth of esoteric quests that tie into the Ember Court. It even alters some of your other dailies on occasion. That’s how I got Tubbin’s teapot.

The Butler battle pet is also way more involved and customizable than I expected him to be. Even naming him is its own little affair as there are only a few names he will approve of (I named mine Muckworth Muddington the third).

Yeah, I agree. There is a lot more to him than I thought, too. Finding all that is going to take a while. Just got the doublet for him. Oh, and I named mine Muckworth Muddington III also. I mean, come one. It was the perfect name for him  .

Now that I’ve gotten more entertainments, food, etc for the Ember Court, it just keeps getting better and better. Food fights, rowdy dredgers, thieves, a murder, the Last Chalice band, it’s just so much fun.

I love the Ember Court, it’s delightful. The Winter Veil additions were nice, I like the visual of Theotar running around singing songs with the drudgers and trying to get more people to wear Winter Veil hats.
