If you’re attached to your face option with the scowl, please quote me and tell me why. I’m honestly curious.
People keep saying this ignorantly, but the CM referred to the scowl as a bug for the male Nightborne because in the initial preview of the new customization options for 9.1.5, we were shown face options without the scowl that ended up with it in the early revisions of the 9.1.5 PTR, thus it was labeled a bug and corrected.
Lobby for the removal of the Night Elf male’s scowl, but don’t pretend that any sort of favoritism or undue attention is being extended to the Nightborne, because it isn’t.
They just need to shrink the hands/arms and male night elves would look SO much better. Their current proportions there are just hilariously bad.
Would love to see more face options overall, but definitely male night elves need some love. My least favorite part about how they updated to the new models was that all the faces became the “same” face with slightly different texture, instead of actually different faces.
I wish ALL races got the human treatment and were able to pick between 3 (or more) different base face shapes.
It’s, for me, mostly a matter of working his face into his character. I’d be very sad to lose it at this point.
He’s an old druid with a wearied face.
Now my face has little scowl honestly and might not be involved in such a thing but I also have a few friends (and one other night elf toon) who have the Scowls and would prefer to keep them.
But not everyone does so either a toggle option or just adding new faces to fix it is my vote.
I’ve been saying this for years. But they seem to be listening now, i hope.
I have a wishlist that is basically this:
There are some obvious options Night elves should receive as their Highborne unique stuff.
. Purple, pink, lavender eyes.
. Glowing face markings like Azshara.
. Arcane, magic themed face markings and tattoos. (Not the same as nightborne obviously).
. Regal hairstyles.
. Additional body type, less muscular for male and female.
. Make up (for both genders, cause why not?)
. Jewelry.
Which depiction of Azshara has glowing face markings? Not in elven form or as a naga does she have them.
Blizzard’s solution to the scowl problem for the male Nightborne was to remove them altogether. The scowl will either be a toggle to cater to the minority that want it, or removed altogether like with the Nightborne.
Consdering how old the Sunstriders lived and several others, this may very well be true about Thalassian elves.
On another note, I really wish we could see a civilization appear with architecture akin to that of Tomb of Sargeras. I know we likely won’t but it’d be neat to have Kaldorei lands not be in total ruin for once :>
Honestly! I love this idea. Two of my characters are from these areas and Feralas’ music is amazing. I would just be very sad if it got so heavily revamped that what makes Feralas special ended up being removed in the way that most vanilla content does.
Her eyes glow, not her face markings as you claimed. I even provided you with in-game representations of Azshara that clearly show that she doesn’t have glowing face markings. I think you’ve maybe confused fan-art with official artwork. Glad I could clear up your confusion.
That would be Suramar. The architecture there is practically identical to the Aetherium in Suramar.
Night Elves honestly should get options that reflect other parts of their culture as well. While arcane isn’t as widely practiced and mages are looked down upon by the Kal’dorei, there are still echoes of it’s presence which should be reflected.
“When a portal whirled open, the normally reserved night elves cheered. The magi who stepped through, who until this moment had only cautiously been made welcome in Darnassus, smiled in surprise. The cheers swelled when they each opened another portal—and reached a crescendo as, over the course of several minutes (and with not a few interruptions), a dozen bears, birds, and
nightsabers came through.”
Yep. I want night elves to have face shape option like humans have. Eye shape too, so i can make my character look more like she used to be before WoD.
