Well now we won’t be looking down on them. We’ll be looking up at them as they carry us on our alts.
The classic ignore action of some self conceited person who feels they deserve more than other people.
Just accept the fact that it is fair for people to have an equal chance at rolling for an item they that they want and are eligible for.
You don’t deserve more because you don’t want to participate in other content.
You are not special.
Not participating in the game doesn’t give you more to loot in the one thing you do.
I have no problem with LFR, I have issues with people like you who for no reason believe you deserve more than anyone else and that other people should suffer so that you can get your own way.
I would prefer the loot be more equal to everyone. Don’t tell me how to play, or demand I play the same as you with the same priorities. My wanting to play to increase ilevel is just as equally valid as you wanting to play for transmogs. Or whatever other reason you’re in lfr rolling on loot. Maybe its not my reason. Who cares? The entitlement happens when you think you deserve more because what you want out of the game is different than someone elses.
I actually made a thread about this specific topic a couple weeks ago after the loot changes rolled out.
I refuse to level/gear my alts for this purpose as it’s ultimately pointless. It’s extremely regrettable that there’s no way to farm LFR transmog on a mythic geared character.
Nah the ignore action had nothing to do with your point of view which is just the same regurgitated garbage everyone else who agrees with you is spewing. The ignore action had to do with the fact that you cant make a post without resorting to personal insults. Don’t worry though, my feelings aren’t hurt, I just don’t feel it necessary to respond to someone who clearly needs to rely on others’ opinions and hides behind personal insults. When you can come up with a coherent thought of your own that doesn’t rely on insulting someone else to get your point across, maybe then people will engage with you.
You show me where tier, which has multiple avenues of obtaining (GV, LFR, Normal-Mythic Raiding, and now Catalyst), isn’t used for the entire season and isn’t considered BIS for someone.
So whether they are going to vendor or use the gear, it should just be Free-For-All loot? That is your view? You think that is the best method to solve these issues?
A warrior rolls need on a piece of cloth, because hey it’s fair. They killed the boss just like you, doesn’t matter that he just wants the tmog or needs the need the shard for his weapon enchant. It should all be equal. Priests should be able to roll on shields too right? Their pally alt may want that transmog.
Fair is fair right?
bunch of crybabies I say
Whether you are doing lfr to gear up, for the mogs, or because you are RPing, all players are equal in there. Doing LFR for mogs is just as legit as any other reason.
The lfr-gearers don’t want an equal chance; they want special treatment, and bliz has sort of given them that. But only sort of… different weapons, pieces you don’t have you can still need away at a higher ilvl.
It’s the same thing as before though, with personal loot. With personal loot, you could also raid all night and get nothing, while someone more geared than you gets mogs. Group loot just gives the illusion you are playing against someone else for gear, but in both cases, in actuality you are playing the computer.
Tier from LFR can be replaced converted open world gear. It’s probably the only tier that is guaranteed to be replaced if that’s your main progression because you don’t even need a premade group to get the better version.
There’s already eligibility rules for loot. Stop with the slippery slope. As it currently stands, you can’t need on gear that’s not your classes primary weapon/armor type, so your example is just a flat out disingenuous argument. If you want a real one:
The warrior in your example can roll on a shield against me and he should have the same chance at winning it as I do, even if I’m using a green and he’s got one a 418. That’s absolutely fair.
Tier gets replaced with…tier. Not other gear, tier. Nullifying your argument completely, while fulfilling your obligation that tier be worn for the entire season.
Yet you are arguing against these eligibility rules for loot saying they are unfair as they are. Which is it? Is the system unfair, or is it fair? You are running in circles here.
Easiest solution would be to add a currency or something to these things that you can turn in for cosmetic appearances for tier.
Then the entitled bunch for their precious temporary ilvl can still have their cake and eat it too.
This could be the case without needing to roll an alt for the gear, but here we are.
This is disgusting and childish… I love it! I’m gonna use my boost right now!
I haven’t been choked in so long I forgot what it felt like ~cleans coffee off desk and keyboard.
Just add a mog roll, as it stands you can need or greed, and if you cannot need than you roll greed against EVERYONE in the group, including those who cannot even use it. At least if they add a mog roll then they can add another check to give priority to those who can use it, but don’t need it.

Tier from LFR gets replaced with open world gear. There is no desperate need for LFR tier to be more restricted during rolls because people need to use it.
You tried to throw out the system altogether. While the current version is less than fair, it’s obviously an improved over the no eligibility check that you brought up out of nowhere.
I have suggested this as a workaround to these silly rules. Honestly it feels bad as a collector. I wasnt able to role for some stuff just because I got lucky with the weekly event rewards that were pieces to complete the tier set in the transmog tag or skin recolors of the cool weapons.
It also keeps you from wanting to do higher difficulty content until you collected all the transmog pieces. They should remove these silly restrictions.
Also wiping and getting to 10 stacks on Raz is not fun being in groups with low output.
I am leveling repeats while doing world quests. Often I do this later in the expansion. But now they are more useful as transmog collectors especially with the very limited charge rate from the catalyst 1per week capped at 6. The toughest bit so far is getting the ilvl for rf quickly. Gotta get lucky with mythic 0s. Wish I could use my alts titan training matrixes.
Correction: Tier from LFR gets replaced by higher level tier. You aren’t going to replace a tier piece until you have a catalyst that you can turn that higher level “open world gear” into a higher level tier piece.
But plate wearers can wear cloth, leather, mail as well. Why can’t they roll on this gear for transmog? If I want to walk around wearing warlock regalia on my pally, why can’t I? I am eligible to wear the gear, and according to you if I am eligible to wear the gear and it isn’t class specific I should be able to roll need on it for transmog.
Exactly and you can bet when the next tier comes out, season 1 LFR will be a near-ghost town.
Give us another way to get the gear/weapon looks, be it quests, bags or currency as other posters have mentioned earlier.
This is a non issue you turned into an issue. LFR works throughout the expansion so you can farm in season 2 without hindering anyones progression. The word salad everyone uses to not look like the bad guy is funny.
