Let’s be real 80% of the Horde that are in WM only use it because the gold and AP 10% and almost no fight back, that kills the fun for players who want a fight on both sides. Simple solution.

Cap shards at 40 players per faction. If a LFG is made in that shard port them out to a new shard to keep the healthy balance.

Make World Quest award conquest and Honor, not Gold and AP, that way people can have an alternative way to cap conquest or farm honor.

Remove AOO and give CTA cosmetic rewards and toys.
8o% of the Horde enjoy killing the Alliance. The other 20% Really enjoy killing the Alliance.

When 8.1 was introduced and numbers got even Horde deserted Warmode, only a few stayed. So they just like rewards not fight back.

I’ll take the 10% extra if it’s doable. Scooping up peanuts in Candyland is better than not scooping up peanuts in Candyland. At my 400k health I can’t compete.
- You’d have to introduce NPC bots as fillers for anything missing in a disparity.
- No gold? Hey, I want my long-range planning lel. Gold is the one currency that always stays with you. Next expansion we’re not even going to need this version of AP and not going to need war resources.
- It probably doesn’t make a difference now, but Alliance is going to go back to bellyaching and complaining that they’re getting nothing against an overwhelming Horde advantage. They got it and they’re still complaining.

I had happened to see Ruin just earlier this afternoon. They completely crashed Nazjatar. I don’t know what they were really trying to do on a Saturday afternoon, when Horde might be…I don’t know…
I was gone since 0430 and didn’t come back until about 1100. shrugs

its true that shards f everything up and blizz should have an engine that allows mass pvp to happen in a single persistent world.
That said, the alliance that gutted out the leveling experience and early parts of bfa against overwhelming hord numbers over contested world quest subsequently became quite the gritty bunch. Whenever I come across a contested world quest and the faction numbers are at all close to even, the hord is getting murdered.
That’s why the fun start when the both factions are almost the same on numbers. That way to get rid of those leeching players that just want 10% extra reward and let the pvpers enjoy WarMode
According to Ion, there were more total people in war mode at the end of 8.1 than at the beginning. The carebears on the Horde side did leave, but people who enjoyed PVP on both sides stayed or joined. That was fun.
Incidentally, that was due to the proper balance between AOO and CTA back then. Restore that balance, and war mode would be fun again.
In the meantime, you can get Conquest in war mode by doing assaults.
You mean to say what you really want is an incentive for the care bear alliance to turn on WM while also putting a disincentive so that’s the care bear Horde leaves WM.
Sorry no heroic gear for rolling around in a 5 man group killing solo horde .

Translation: if you’re going to be a care bear, be one A-side. And ironically, I am traditionally an A-side carebear.
Oceanic realms beg to differ… We need more Horde to opt in on Oceanic Warmode shards, sadly we’re dominated by the alliance, who get the stupid extra buff
