O no. $15 to hard to earn. O sweetie. Your friends that think $15 is too much. Then they just should stick to free to play games. Don’t make me laugh. My parents lived by $500-600 a week for 4 folks to live off of. They still could afford $30 of wow time (2 of us played wow back then and still now) Were there times we had to skip a month? Yea cause ya know bills. But that doesn’t justify that Wow should be cheaper. Especially when it’s already at a cheap price. And if you calculate the 15 a month into what you paying by the day…it makes it more a laughing stock of a price. It’s what 50 cents a day basically what you’re paying.
And with all that said I’m going to assume you’re just trolling here as today is Sunday and just by the topic alone. If not then what I said above is me being serious.

Thanks to inflation it’s cheaper to play now than it was in 2004.
Your welcome.

Omg this is such a rich person rant I don’t even know if you’re trolling or serious. You’re talking about struggle and surviving but you’re complaining about a video game and Netflix. You don’t need ANY of them. Blizzard is not a charity. It’s a business and it’s in the stock market. They can’t just slash their prices because the Karens of the world think surviving means playing a video game.

Its a luxury good and a capitalist society. No pay no play this the way. WoW aint food or shelter. Price wont change until supply or demand shifts.
We are lucky it hasn’t gone up in price over the years like in Aus

I assume you’re confused about and are referring to unrated/casual honor pvp gear. As that’s just on par with mythic 0-3 dungeon gear or so (as it should be) and is only upgradable to ~190…
As for real pvp, rated/conquest gear, that is upgradable all the way to item level 222+ or so (about the same as Mythic raid gear).
Then play them and, are they (friends) from Australia
It’s still $15 in local currency in most places yes?
At 50 cents a day, that’s a damn bargain.
15 bucks is way cheaper compared to going out and spending like 30 bucks at my local main event or going to a bar etc etc. Sooo lol? Seems like a troll post
Can you name me anything else that has not raised it’s price since 2004?
Not being sarcastic here, but if someone in the U.S. can not afford 15$ a month, then they should probably be working instead of playing WOW.
And if they have an issue where they can not work, WOW tokens can be earned in game.
Have to agree with everyone else here, the subscription is cheap, one movie ticket or what most people pay for a meal for a day is more… this is literally a months worth of a service. One could argue maybe $30+ dollars for an expansion is a bit excessive but then if it has replay value that’s also a long term investment…
Using an inflation calculator, $15 is 2004 would equal $20.68 today. So you ARE essentially getting a $5.68 discount.
I know times are rough right now and escapism is really needed to keep us all sane, but a FTP game gets annoying really fast. Go try out Guild Wars 2. FTP after you buy the current expansion. You’ll find yourself paying for everything beyond a really bare bones offering of the game.

You live in California? I live in California too. Guess what? We have: Uber, Lyft, DoorDash, InstaCart, Walmart Shopper/Delivery and various restaurants that deliver, including Olive Garden, most Pizza chains and Chinese restaurants.
Get. A. Job.
If I were not disabled, I would have a job & it would be one (or more) of the places I listed above. Fortunately for us, my spouse is a necessary worker and we so far have been ok during this pandemic. We pay for our game subs in 6 or 12 month chunks (whichever is offered) because overall it is cheaper than month-to-month.
If you are skipping meals to pay for Netflix, WoW & whatever other luxuries you are paying for, then you need to STOP those payments. There are other ways to have fun online & if you really do have friends who balked at paying a sub fee, then find a free-to-play game such as NeverWinter Online, Lord of the Rings Online etc. Facebook games are free-to-play.
Finally, you want the sub fee cut in half? Well since you are able to play all WoW expansions you have purchased AND Classic WoW (including expansions as they will not ask us to purchase those again), you ALREADY have your wish. The cost is $7.50/month for WoW: Shadowlands and $7.50/month for Classic WoW.
Seriously though, if you can’t afford basic necessities then you need to stop paying sub fees for all of your luxuries. I know it hurts, I’ve been there. It’s a hard lesson to learn & live through, but you’ll survive & come out stronger.

I had Marco’s once. It was literally the worst pizza I’ve ever had.
Just because movie tickets wre overpriced doesn’t mean wow should be too. You people don’t care about anyone else because you have never been in a position like me and my friends to where this game is hard to afford. The price might be okay for you but I’m speaking for me and everyone else who cant post here because they cant afford it
If $15/month is too much then be glad Blizzard has not adjusted price with inflation. If they had, your would be paying about $20.68/month to play in 2020. If that is to confusing to grasp, then the $15/month you originally paid is the same as about $10.88/month today, so you are actually paying less. Blizzard has been effectively reducing it’s price as time goes on. I do think Australia got an adjustment but those were special circumstances due to the value of currency exchange.
You can get 8k/hr killing trash every 4 mins in atal dazar.
If you live in america and can’t afford 15 a month the least of your worries should be a videogame. If you dont live in the first world and still cant afford it then your problems are prolly way worse. Make yourself a favour and produce something.

If you and your friends are skipping meals to pay a game sub then your priorities are screwed up. I have heard the excuse about not being able to find a job and that’s just bunk, there are production line jobs all over the place around me making 20 bucks an hour for unskilled labor in factories and distribution centers everywhere. but most complaining about not being able to find work don’t want to work 40hours a week, or don’t want to work second or third shift, so they turn down a good job making 18-20 bucks an hour with benefits and a 401k because it cuts into their social life, then I have no sympathy for you. and if you choose a game sub over something to eat then you are just hopeless.
