Still happens on some realms to be honest, inbetween the guild ads. Discord and other mediums of being able to do that stuff tends to be better, and you don’t have to deal with forum rules during it. Not to mention the ‘new forums’ and repeated deletion of old threads and being able to look back at stuff is awful. Discord you can choose to keep the logs and stuff forever.

there’s almost always a weekly thread asking why the server is so trash and bad now.
It’s honestly like that for any RP server that’s still populated. More and more non-rpers keep rolling there, more RPers keep leaving or finding other avenues for RP and to not have to deal with people griefing them.

I miss being able to trade with players since there’s 0 alliance on my server, all my interactions are with the auction house.
And even the guild recruitment threads are months to years old…

I know quite a few people who went to FFXIV from my home server MG for the RP…it’s enticing to join them but ain’t no way in hell I’m paying two subs a month.
If you’d like I can make an alt on your server and you can trade me as much gold as you’d like

Some things never change.
Oh yes… server forum drama was huge… so much e-peen throwing around happening… It was amazing.
i know that vek’nilash had a whole bunch of drama, some of it originating from my own guild, and that basically all of it was put on the vek realm forums for all to read. it was always entertaining.
Sounds like something you’d get reported for these days
