Make LFR Normal Difficulty

Playing through Battle of Dazar’alor in normal difficulty feels like this is what LFR should be. It’s fun, engaging, has some challenging mechanics yet easy enough for random strangers in LFR to get through.

I suggest removing Normal Mode and replacing it with LFR to make it fun again and worth doing more often.

So the only difficulties that should exist are:
-LFR (new normal)
-Heroic
-Mythic

How would you improve LFR?

It would be a better change… flex was what should of ended lfr. I don’t know how to improve it while keeping it a queue system through.

They just need to change the color of the name of mythic gear to Yellow or Gold. Call it and label it mythic So now the mythic raider will feel special again because their gear is “better” and this end lfr nonsense will stop.

Another remove LFR in disguise thread brought to you by Skinwalker.

LFR is fine. If you found normal so engaging, why would you care if there was LFR for others next week ?

I didn’t say anything about removing LFR. I said make LFR harder and remove normal raids. Huge difference

You are eliminating the LFR difficulty - that is removing LFR. And yes, I know you twisted things but the bottom line is the people currently doing LFR no longer have that content to do at the difficulty it was.

Do you realize when you went into that normal pug group today, they selected players to join. They just didn’t pick everyone with 340 plus gear. That is the difference between LFR and normal.

A ilvl 379 healer - of course you didn’t have a problem finding a group.

It would cut back on difficulties, and thus ilvl gaps which would make sense, but only if you also still allow people to just group up and go in like you can with heroic dungeons, which would allow it to remain flex. EX, a group of 12 friends can still go in without having to queue for extra.

I agree 100% but as a recent thread about this demonstrated this sort of thing would just make the community feel like Blizzard was catering to the 1% and it wouldn’t be too long until they were demanding the same color gear even if everything else was identical.

It’s just raider envy and that never goes away.

I think LFR is fine the way it is because it serves the purpose of exposing people to the content. I appreciate that you are saying get rid of normal instead of LFR but if you “improve” LFR to the point of it being normal than which difficulty have you actually removed?

I would do it

LFR has been modified many times since it came out in Cata. Were they “removing lfr” each time they did that? No. They just adjusted difficulty and rewards for what the devs believed LFR should be. Since WoD it made LFR meaningless and not worth doing more than once. Removing normal mode and replacing it with LFR would give more incentive to continue running it while encouraging heroic mode. Changing the difficulty would give more satisfaction when completing LFR as opposed to simply getting it over with.

If its a matter of getting it over with than perhaps you need to be doing a higher difficulty. Making LFR harder so someone who has completed normal and even most of heroic wants to do it is not very nice on your part. I am trusting Amine on this as she has paid more attention to your threads. You have no real reason to want what you have proposed other than to eliminate a portion of the player base from doing raids.

Why?

If you don’t find LFR fun or challenging, move on to normal/heroic.

These threads have been around for almost 8 years, yet people think their thread will somehow be the magical thread to change it…

I do believe LFR should have all mechanics in it like it used to back when it was first introduced. It should not be a snoozefest, no one should be allowed to or able to AFK through it.

LFR should include all the normal mechanics, just a bit less punishing. That is all I can think of to make LFR interesting and not an afk fest. Not that normal is all that difficult anyway, they basically made normal easy mode, heroic became the new normal, and mythic the new heroic once they decided to add mythic difficulty to raids.

I’d be fine with this as long as it’s still queueable. And the gear requirement is just heroic dungeon level.

I would not do what you are suggesting.

LFR is supposed to be “scrubby”, for people like myself who would not do it otherwise.

If you casually read threads, people STILL sometimes have trouble in “LFR.” Since LFR now locks content progression, such as being able to fly, it should stay as it is.

Maybe they could ALSO add an “LFR NORMAL”? But as far as unlocking, only regular scrubby LFR should be required.

And all you’ll wind up doing is making LFR more toxic than it already is.

It is getting kind of old, isnt it.

You could say the same thing about heroic relative to mythic.
