I think this behavior should, and will be rightly punished.
I also feel it is only a stop gap.

I think we’d also need to historically compare how many BIS drops came from the first boss in Heroics to really get a good bit of context going.
Agreed. Or, it’s time to make all dungeons just drop gear at the end. We deal with leavers far more than we deal with trolling parties/dc’s, and it’s time we adjust things to prevent this sort of behavior every single expansion/content drop. It’s equally as annoying gearing alts in lfr where one enters into a run mid way through which means we have to now run that dungeon twice and the second time without gear for a portion/majority of the run if we want to make sure someone else doesn’t suffer an equally terrible fate.

Hate to say it, but that issue was caused by people aswell.
We’re a part of the reason content gets gated besides Blizzards /played metrics.

it doesn’t as lfr has been and will remain an issue. A half hour debuff isn’t much for someone who only cares about one boss.

This is a good way to roll back the clock and get rid of the groupfinder. There would be legit reports and those out of spite, more than Blizz could keep up with. I’d give it about six months until everybody was banned, maybe even less.
you can’t do anythign about lfr, its literally casual gameplay. it needs as much freedom as possible for those who can’t commit time to the game as much, thats its purpose.

- the fix is putting all loot at the end of a dungeon for queued content not punishing people who leave

Incorrect. This is happening in at least 30% of the runs I’ve been a part of and happens in every single LFR run I’ve ever done with at least one person leaving there as well. This is an ongoing and will continue moving forward be a problem
