Are they really that busted? I got one in 498 gear from pre-patch, but didn’t really play much with it.

We only know how players responded. Players complained with enough volume to warrant a response. It does not necessarily mean that Blizzard shares their opinion. It simply means that to put out this small fire and quiet the masses, they are pushing a hot fix.
Enough people cared that Blizz is hotfixing in a punishment.

Please stop. I already don’t do queue PvP because I have real life issues that cause me to have to leave my desk. Including health issues, animals etc.
If you could get banned for leaving a dungeon or raid, I wouldn’t play this game anymore. I’m not going to risk my health to sit through a dungeon if I really need to go to the bathroom.
Not sure why all of a sudden this expansion this is a big deal. People leave, someone new joins within a minute. It’s NOT a big deal.

Instead of, if they weren’t just getting stoked on complaining about complainers, ignoring it and going to play the game.
Then they’ll be like “why are my Heroic dungeon queues an hour long?”

I think they should change the deserter debuff. You get it for 30 minutes regardless of when you leave but it doesn’t stop you from getting into group finder again, instead of you abandon another dungeon before the 30 minutes are up it gives you a 2 hour debuff that only let’s you queue with others with the debuff.
It’s beyond silly. I’m not even touching any more heroics for the rest of the expansion. There’s no need to.
