Different teams for different things man. They’re not a monolith or a hive mind.
It actually makes much more sense. And give everyone one piece of equipment at the end
2 weeks worth of damage for a change that affects a negligible portion of the playerbase engaging in what is good for the game … versus implementing a fix to prevent players being stupid and creating a worse gameplay experience for everyone involved?
I know which one I’m voting for. For the overwhelming majority of sane players, this change does literally nothing anyway so… I see no reason to care about it. If it prevents 2 weeks worth of damage and degenerative behaviour by other players ruining the gameplay experience for folks, with no real downside to normal players? That sounds like it’d be more than worth it at that point.
then thier team to fix this ain’t busy doing anythign else
Thank you for deciding, for me, what I’m saying, when I clearly said what I mean.
30 minute deserter is reasonable.
Banning someone for leaving is actually insane.
It’s getting medieval around here with all these cries for punishment.
Least I’m dressed appropriately.
Anyone seen my pitchfork, wooden handle with a pointy end?
There is significant downside for casual players who are complaining. no downside for the leavers
Only way to stop this is to borrow something from M+ and move all the loot to the last boss.
In other words: Remove LFG.
Imagine even suggesting banning somebody for leaving when it’s like 9 seconds before they’re replaced.
How would this work for DCs or life emergencies? Should people have their accounts banned in those instances?
Getting someone to fill the gap doesn’t take that long. Or, run with friends / guildies. Or create a premade group using trade chat. Banning people for trivial things like leaving a dungeon is ridiculous. I never leave groups, but don’t care if people do. Life happens.
Actually Blizzard does… and they need to move it to the end of the dungeon.
I deleted that part because I’m not in an argumentative mood when I figured this would be the type of response I’d get. Sorry but I don’t care whether you think you said something else than what you said.
Context matters and in a conversation about a particular topic, if you take an antithetical position or claim an opposing position on the behalf of someone else … you are doing it in response to someone or something. In the context of this thread, no Blizzard doesn’t agree. They are just trying to fix something where players are too stupid for their own good.
30 minutes of no queuing. Folks leave dungeons because they are hunting for items. Adding a 30 minute timer to hunting their one item is a significant downside.
Alright champerino. Whatever tickles your ego.
Banning is a little much, And if you’re so offended by people leaving, just add them to ignore, and boom, you never group again.
But again tbf, The people hunting for BIS are probably to people who actually take high endgame content seriously, High level keys, Mythic raiding, It makes sense why they’d want to capitialize their time usage to get items.
Just because everyone paid for the game doesn’t mean everyone has to play it the same.
If Blizzard didn’t want to facilitate people prioritizing the first boss, they shouldn’t have incentived people to only leave after the first boss.
I’m pretty sure that was the norm for previous expansions too, at least when it was for a quest. They require you to not just take the kill but also finish the dungeon.
Blizzard isnt forcing people to stay in groups.
SHould read first
They are de-incentivizing it though. You’ll be getting a deserter debuff now if you leave after the first boss.
So leave after the second.
