If you Q for a dungeon, you are Q’ing for the entire dungeon, not the first boss. I also never said I agree with account wide bans, or any bans for that matter.

To be fair. This will be a null issue when Mythic+ is released. The behaviors here are of min/max’rs, minimum time for maximum gain. With the lack of relevant content to those ends folks have nothing to do but look out for themselves if gearing and prepping for Mythic/Raid content is their priority.
Best solutions:
- Check box for Dungeon in Progress filling with extra rewards, a 60% gear drop chance, 30% profession bag with R1-R3 materials and a hundred gold, 10% for other creative stuff (Pets, mounts, etc). Reward folks that take on that mantle and you’ll find that fostering rewarding behavior will make people queue to fill more often.
Otherwise… I’d say let it fly, groups backfill and it will be a null issue in 2 weeks.

it doesnt though. will sit for 15 minutes waiting for a tank. its not much to ask for a account wide debuff

At best what you are learning from follower dungeons is a path from start to finish.
Nothing else.
Mythic shouldn’t be queueable imo.
It’s a way better format cus forming your own groups removes a lot of the issues with toxicity and MCS in general.
You almost never see people leave groups in WoW Classic until the LFG tool gets added. It’s a consistent issue in humanity with anonymity breeding toxicity.
Then go play classic. Go play FF. Go take your own advice and make friends so you form those groups like you did in Classic Pre-LFG. It’s not an issue, and you’re making it one, but it’s only an issue for you.

I played vanilla. People left groups.
I spent my fair share of time backfilling Dire Maul and BRS runs from Orgrimmar.
Luckily they are backfilled automatically now!

I do I’m in a great guild and I tank so this issue doesn’t affect me, it does affect new players and the future of WoWs community as a whole so I stan because I love Warcraft and don’t want to see it become a toxic cesspool more than it already has.
I agree it’s selfish, inconsiderate, and toxic behavior when someone leaves a group they joined.
It’s also selfish, inconsiderate, and toxic behavior when a tank plays their own mini-game by pulling the entire wing to the boss while the other 4 players struggle to keep up and stay alive. I would also like the ability to kick the tank and have them banned from queuing as well.

If you can’t stay for the whole dungeon don’t queue. It’s really that simple. Go do Mythic instead.

Banning isn’t enough. Prison is the only acceptable solution and deterrent… PERHAPS even DOUBLE prison if you are a vulpera-leaver.
