Another day testing out DH on Beta, another day of knowing First Blood still needs to be baseline.
I agree with Haugs that really what’s needed is the complete removal of First Blood, a redesign of Blade Dance to make it worth pressing in AoE situations, and the addition of a short CD high damage single target spender.
Buuuuuut that takes a lot of work on a single class, which there is like no chance of happening between now and Shadowlands launch.
So, like Bernie Sanders before me, I am asking you once again for First Blood baseline.

Checking back in to bump this, blizz please for the love of all that is holy just make first blood baseline. If havoc is not getting a substantial rework, which considering we are now on borrowed time anyways I doubt this is the case, just make first blood baseline and replace it with bloodlet. Myself and others could write essays on design changes saying what our perfect spec design is but quite frankly I bet no one wants to read those, making first blood baseline is an incredibly simple and efficient change and replacing it with bloodlet opens up a large amount of build diversity while still keeping dh as “beginner friendly”.
I would love a full revert to legion demon hunter but we all know that won’t happen. Please just give us first blood and bloodlet so the spec feels rewarding to use. Just help us out here.

I’ve given up, and rerolling Mage. UBC and momentum are garbage to play.
I loved the Demonic gameplay, but the nerfed demonic window and lack of another filler has ruined it for me personally.
Our baseline kit is just a joke…

The Dancing with Fate conduit was changed from applying essence break to increasing the damage of the last Blade Dance slash from +10-24%.
In pre-patch, my Blade Dance with no buffs or synergizing talents reads 342 physical damage. Chaos Strike says 448 chaos damage. Simply put, this conduit will not push the damage of Blade Dance beyond Chaos Strike.
Garbage.
Make First Blood baseline and replace it with Bloodlet!

I assure you, I always think big! When it comes to our current iteration of the game we love, World of Warcraft, I admit it’s becoming more difficult. 
To what you’re referring to specifically, I am not sure. Is it the synergy it will have with First Blood (which is obvious), maybe Essence Break? It will absolutely make it more effective in AOE, possibly allowing it to be used effectively on fewer targets.
Trail of Ruin? The problem with that is Trail scales off of attack power and not damage dealt.
Upon further inspection, Death Sweep reads 595 damage and Annihilation 615 (no buffs or synergizing talents). The 10% increase would BARELY push it past the damage of Annihilation. This conduit would make it useful on one target when in metamorphosis.
So, when you say think bigger than this… I believe you are referring to Metamorphosis.

I still don’t understand how First Blood is not baseline. Hell, it doesn’t even need to be a talent at all. Just lower the energy of Blade Dance. Right now, Blade Dance is too costly of a spell to use regularly, and since DHs are universally accepted as being overly simplified, Blizzard’s class design to gate a spell behind a talent that lowers its cost just feels like trolling.
