I made a Dracthyr warrior Rahne - Elune. I had a goal in mind when I made her so I did a Black Dragon look and with the help of the Colossus spec and the Levithaton gem and a little Firewater Sorbet in dragon form she is close to what I would guess is around 13 feet tall. Why would I do this? Answer is simple dragons aren’t small creatures and a big powerful looking warrior really fits the theme I was going for. I was a little disappointed in the fact I can’t show off my Black Dragonscale armor in dragon form but I would like to say I think I’ve made both the Visage form and the dragon form work rather well. I do use both as Visage is a great way to keep myself topped off out of combat. Wish I could post pictures but 20 years of loyalty to the game don’t mean you can post links according to Blizzard.
The challenge with Dracthyr is being creative by using the very limited transmogs we have and combining them with the armor customizations. I think my Dracthyr looks amazing, even though the gold in the armor doesn’t match precisely. I switch between the two forms depending on my mood, but I love them both.
I must be in the minority here. While I certainly wouldn’t mind having more of my actual gear being visible and transmogable, I LOVE my character’s Dragon form and stay in it almost all of the time.
i dont why people are so anti-visage form when its what makes wow dragons unique
I’m not anti visage form, fwiw but I think people demand visage too much. “Oh woe is me I can’t be in visage when I’m literally flapping my wings” is when it just becomes the typical “give an inch, they ask for a mile”
You took the words right out of my mouth. Now tell me, how the hell have you managed to play one lmao.
You’re a warrior, just be a blood elf babes.
I never said that. What are you talking about?
That part of my post was addressing the thread in general. I should have made that clear. I’m sorry.
Because they don’t look like dragons. If they looked as cool as those beefier dragonkin races people would complain a lot less.
Hello?
Beefier dragonkin
Flightless scaly draenei look significantly less like dragons than a race using a (still taller than the other races) scaled down version of the concept art drake design.
When I leveled my first drakthyr, an evoker, I stayed in dragon form the entire leveling process and well into 80. It wasn’t until I made a drakthyr hunter that I discovered visage form had increased health regen. Now I have 4 drakthyr. One stays dragon, one stays elf and the other two go dragon in combat.
I actually was pleasantly surprised to see a lot of people drop out of visage in combat even with classes that don’t have to.
That’s offensive. Trogdor the Burninator looks cool.
I do think you should be able to choose which form you want displayed on the Warband/Char selection screen though. I do find it funny that my Mage that is never in Dragon form is shown as the Dragon and not the Visage.
See here you go again. No answer.
Haha. First time? Welcome to the club. At least you guys have the option to fight in visage form. We’re pretty much forced to look like a goofy-ahh dog in a tophat with a british accent. And I wish that was as cool as it sounds.
Well, is there any difference between your “visage” and humans?
You could have rolled a human.
No way, I could’ve?
I don’t dislike Worgen. I’m big on werewolves since my World of Darkness days. I just wish Blizzard hadn’t make them look so terrible. They promised something wildly different when Worgen were first announced.
They were supposed to be a cool mix between dark fantasy and WoW’s toony style, but instead they were just turned into furries with tophats.
I love the lore but not the visuals, and with Dracthyrs getting the option, I don’t see why Worgens shouldn’t.
Well when you said this, I wasn’t sure you knew.
Personally, they look more like dragons than the dracnoids. They’re tall, with wings, and tails. Dracnoids are just beefy, like an orc but that’s about it.
They shoud delete visage altogether.
