No, but a lot of people (myself included) spent 60k+ research on random conduits. I literally hit tier 6 this morning after reset and dumped almost all of my research on conduits, and got a lot of very useless ones. So someone that didn’t work at getting the upgrades will have a way better chance at getting the conduits they want.
is it a huge deal? no. Does it feel really bad? Yup.

Honestly too late lmao. The poor design decisions the dev team made the last two expacs are an expectation that players like being treated poorly.
I get you have to hide the grind in there for time played metrics but the whole conduit system has been such a massive let down.

Having the same problem! I think I have all of the Guardian/Feral conduits & most of the Resto conduits but she’s a BOOMKIN & I can’t find those to save my life. Instead, I’m deleting Feral/Guardian conduits left & right because I can’t sell them, can’t trade them & can’t de them.
Yep. "Thanks for that Resto trinket, at least I get a crystal out of it… " 
Fine, then give me a CHOICE of conduits if RNG decides to reward me with one. Then I can choose the one FOR MY SPEC rather than the one that gives me increased movement speed for 5 seconds after a shapeshift for the Nth time!
I do. What the hell else will I do with them? I’ve had this character since 2005, bank space is at a PREMIUM LOL!

This crap happens every single expansion and then you act like you “listen to our feedback”, instead you either don’t listen to our feedback at all or you do with about a year of delay on average.

Oh my God a blue post about an in game issue.
Will this upgrade all current spec conduits to 252 before upgrading offspec ones? or will it continue to upgrade all lowest ranked conduits first with the only change being the first 4-6 will be spec specific

Here’s a thing. Just do literally anything else with your free time. Not worth your time engaging in effort/reward loops with obviously withheld adjustments until the upper percentile of players are done with progression. Clearly obvious they do this to slow down their rate of play, and it does nothing really except make the rest of the population upset.
Isn’t this change massively negatively affecting those who have just finished farming enough upgrades to get all their conduits to 252?
Can we get refunds for the off spec conduits we didn’t want now? Or is this just a way of laughing at us having wasted our time?

The bottom 3rd of my inventory is just like 27 copies of the same god damned off-spec conduit I will never use.

I’m sure there will be 9 more months of silence on this now. As we are supposed to criticize ideas and not people ( or you’ll just ban or silence us). The idea of random changes with no compensation for those who played based on the older system is inept game design, is the dev team not aware how this works?

They wanted destructible conduits.
We didn’t. So they put in conduit energy and made upgrades to these function as so.
I fully expect actual targeted upgrading of conduits to come a bit into 9.2 (likely after hall of fame closes just like now).
And speaking of gear when the heck are we gonna get a 2nd lego?

Why would you think we’d get a second legendary? Unlike legion this system clearly wasn’t designed for it.
Because WoW is built on old engine. Any change takes long. Not to mention how complex game is with many abilities, spells etc.
You can’t tell me that this change took 8 months straight of someone working on it. Especially when stuff like Timewalking XP gets nerfed in a few hours because it might hurt boost sales.
