Make comp stomp permanent

So many other games have AI “pvp” in order to level up

AB comp stomp is fun and free as it should be. Leave it up so people can farm your worthless honor gear for fun instead of actually needing to try, à la other games

an AI practice mode for bgs would help players learn the maps and pvp before they step in, but at the same time, the brutal nature of beginner pvp helps kill your ego.

IMO the best solution for starter gearing would be to have the starter honor set available for purchase from the vendor for gold, but also, get rid of the upgrades on the honor set and have it start at rank 7.

It is undoubtedly the best way to get honor for a new 60.

Unfortunately blizzard does not want your experience in retail to be fun. It needs to be a second job.

They expect you to slave your life away getting obliterated In regular battlegrounds so that you finally snap and buy a few wow tokens and use the gold to pay for a 2v2 arena boost.

Oh look, a participation trophy supporter.
Thankfully Blizzard is not leaving comp stomp as a permanent feature. It is not PvP and should not be a thing.

there is no reason to even go shopping for a boost for several weeks, you want to be in a full conquest set before you even bother with arena atm. this will let you buy only one boost then grind out honor in a week to fully upgrade everything. otherwise you’d be stuck buying several boosts/carries in order to get a fully upgraded conquest set.

I have indeed noticed that some newb players in the Comp Stomp events are improving very quickly after several matches. They are learning the right strategy, which is to fight at the flags and to float between offense and defense.

It would be great if there is a Comp Stomp for a couple of other battlegrounds. It’s a great teaching tool.

That said, Blizz is currently drowning in the worries of a shrinking sub base. I’ve noticed that the vast majority of the sub loss came from East Asia, where the typical WoW player is a 35-year-old middle class man with a full-time job and a family (the fan base in the developed world is more single and more time-rich). Making the game overly grindy will surely drive them away.

On the PvP side of the discourse here, I think a reasonable place to start would be to reduce the Honor cost of PvP gear, and to implement a BFA/Legion-like power scaling (can be a simple ilevel floor). That way, those poor WoW fans in East Asia who work long hours (and have little time to gear up in WoW) will no longer feel like getting ganked in casual BGs.

Meh just give us 480 honor and 8 conquest every time we log into the game for the first time each day. I have enough chores that I could spend the 3:45 seconds on.
