Make changes for other classes why not Hunters?

With all the buffs to other classes, why not buff one of the classes that has the hardest time in pvp?

Melee can hit you from the other side of the trap, you can go from 100 to 0 without them tripping the trap, leeway is a joke when batching has been removed and internet speed is as good as it is.

Rogues can literally sap you when you stand in the middle of the flare, its complete crap.

Track hidden never finds hidden, Warlocks can see rogues from like 15m away, Hunters cant see them when they are within 10 yards.

You broke autoshot retry timer.

Better arrows being held back.

Silencing shot has a travel time yet rogues doesn’t?

Pets get completely clapped.

Trap delay is a joke, shammies can pop pvp trinket and drop a grounding totem before the trap arms.

Leeway is stuffed, warriors can charge you from max shooting range, because melee has leeway but ranged doesn’t.

Fear beast fails 50% of the time.

That’s just the few that come to mind. Maybe look at other classes and assess if they need changes as well when you decide to buff others.

1 of the hardest times yeah, Hunters have niches but still get screwed by these mechanics stated above.

Rich coming from a Warrior. Yeah it’s hard playing war with 2 charges, mace stuns, stun resist, 2 slows, a fear, stupid leeway so you can hit through pillars and over traps from 10yards away and some of the biggest burst when you do connect.

Now try kiting doing decent damage when you hit like a wet noodle when melee are on you and your only distancing abilities are completely scuffed.

Theres a reason why hunters 9/10 of the time are the kill target.

Imagine telling the entire pvp community you’re bad by spamming HA over and over. Hunters have a higher skill ceiling then most classes without the reward they would get for an equally skilled warrior rogue mage lock or priest. It’s been widely known for over a decade.

Maybe Viper sting should drain 100% of mana instantly so they are on par with the other classes.

The only classes that arguably have a worse time in pvp, at least in non potato tier arena, are paladins and shamans.

So… 22% (or whatever math is hard) of the other classes have it worse, significantly so? Especially in BGs and world PvP? And that means Hunters should be buffed instead of Shaman/Paladins in PvP?

Never said hunters should be buffed. All I said is hunters are one of the worst overall classes in higher level arena. They aren’t the worst, but in a game with 9 classes, being in the bottom 3 is still pretty rough.

BGs and WPVP are jokes and shouldn’t even be mentioned for balance purposes especially with premades being gone.

You think they would be better with a ranged MS…

Being in the bottom 2 is even more rough, and BGs and wPvP are part of the game. It is definitely relevant, though not specific to arena balance.

The discussion is about hunters. Where paladin and shaman sit is mostly irrelevant. The main point is that hunter is absolutely not a particularly great pvp class in the only competitive setting that really exists. It also could be argued that shaman = hunter btw considering they are pretty similar in 3s and shaman is arguably better in 5s.

The reason BGs and world PvP are irrelevant is because they are not remotely competitive (especially after the death of premades) and have way too many factors that can determine how effective a class is. Pretty much any class can be argued to be great or terrible depending on the situation.

The OP is specifically talking about buffing Hunters because other classes got buffed - but I’m not aware of any buffs for Paladin or Shaman in arena specifically.

OP has no idea what he is talking about in regards to the “buffs”.

Hunters are kind of stinky in arena… They might get better when marks gets better. Wotlk solves alot of issues.

Ironically the only class I can think of that ever received a “buff” is paladin with alliance/horde seals. Leeway is not a buff.

Regardless I replied to a post specifically laughing about hunters having a hard time in pvp and never mentioned anything regarding buffs to classes in any of the posts you replied to.

Pallies have seal twisting and alliance get their seal of blood copy. Shammies totems are literally removing 2 poisons on drop and also just got a buff to totem stomping with pet macros not working anymore.

I’m not asking for buffs mostly I’m asking for broken mechanics to either be fixed or mechanics that are severely under tuned slightly reworked to fit the intention of the ability.

They’re right though. Hunters have one of the highest skill cap requirements in arena.

You’d know this though if you weren’t bad at the game.

Hunters don’t need buffs though.
