Make All Gear the Same iLvl And Scale It Up In Their Game Mode

Just remember op mythicplusisfun.

Gearing is 90% of endgame content. Game would be dead after a few months.

No one, or very few people, really just want to collect appearances…

Of course, it’s just important to be aware of their lack of legitimate experience.

Though the equipment slots would be nice, still its a bad idea. The content is divided between PvE and PvP, PvP has gear scaling so PvE gear will (should) never be the best, and in DF will scale up to Mythic Raid ilvl. PvE gear you have M+ and Raiding both of which are fine to be lumped together. Though as I said:

Gear drops for them need to change.

Talk about “knee-jerk” reactions… I never mentioned bad space, I only pointed out how bad the OPs idea was because it forced people into building gear sets for each different content type. It was a silly idea and it was pointed out as being so.

Again, they play the content. Just because you do not like how they have played it does not make them unworthy.

Absolutely not.
New world absolutely spams you with gear and it make it feel completely worthless.

Gear and upgrades need to feel special.
Power progression is the literal core of feeling rewarded in an MMO.

A penny earned is worth more than a penny given.
Seeing that player in the world that’s absolutely juiced gives you something to work towards and feel good about attaining (transmog hurt this but it’s a good thing overall).

Watering down things like this is a game killer.

No, they pay somebody to play it for them. Again, illegitimate.

I am not speaking of the scaling. Just the different sets for different content.

People do this already.

No one can play their characters. Let’s stop acting elitist and turning this topic into something it is not. Thank you.

I disagree. You still need to farm out raids and dungeons for BiS. For M+ your may need to run a dungeon 8 or so times for that 1 item to drop, then spend alot of valor to upgrade it if it isn’t at or near 12/12 upgrade. Raiding is still on a weekly lockout and you would still need to get the right gear drops, A boss may take 3 to 5 kills on average for that piece to drop thats 5 weeks.

Also for many people if your main is in BiS they will work on gearing their other specs or classes while still raiding on their main progressing higher Raid difficulties or getting Keystone Master.

Many people want to play more than one class/spec in a patch. I love to play Mage, DK, and Paladin but as Shadowlands and BFA have show with their horrible borrowed power systems and legendries costing a WoW tokens worth of gold it’s been hard for me to enjoy playing all 3 classes.

This season I only played my hunter just so I can get my slime cat with my guild and the only reason why I’m even logging onto daily for retail is to get the last 2 alchemy recipes I don’t have discovered on this mage (yes my undiscovered tab is down to 2 recipes from invasive mawshrooms).

I mean I think we should bring back PvP sets and make them on par with tier sets not just some +X vers and a lower CD on a minor ability. I also think M+ should share the same tier set as Raids and continue to have a Creation Catalyst style converter to make the M+ gear a tier piece.

Because PvP is a mini game outside the scope of WoW really.

At the end of the day, we’re playing a MMORPG. Gear is gear. There’s no reason a sharp blade found in a dungeon should suddenly go dull because it’s used in a bigger group dungeon.

I really don’t get why people want less gear overall. What we have now is perfect.

Then I’d like to see PvP gear go back to being the best because it’s by far the hardest to earn.

Agreed. There should always be different gear and different gearing paths.

It’s the easiest to earn lol.

Early season Elite is generally quite difficult, but you’ll have to take my word because you’re Rival.

Because PVP and PVE are very different games. Removing incentive to cross-play in PVE between raids and mythic+ just raises the barrier for entry for both. Incentivized cross-play is healthy for the game.

As are keystones and raids.

The gear would still be good and useful, just not bis.

So is week 1 KSM wdym.

No, they’re the same gameplay. 5 man vs 10 man vs 20 man doesn’t change much gameplay wise.

PvE is PvE.

KSM is roughly the equivalent of Rival.

You were a Druid in wrath too. 20 slot bags. Walked to ToC uphill in the snow both ways when you had to leave to pay to respec cuz dual spec wasn’t enough.
