Make All Classes Inclusive in M+

Since we are in a now trend of inclusion etc, why don’t we actually embrace this inclusion in WoW?

As of now I’m an almost fully geared WW Monk and even though I’m pretty sure I can complete a +12 it’s basically impossible to get a chance at even trying it because no one will invite me, they will rather just get a:
*Aug Evo
*Rogue
*Enh Shaman
*Frost DK
*Ret Pally

Why not instead of nerfing those classes or buffing all the others, why not just grant extra rewards or points, for performing those less popular roles? In the same way that this was done for the daily quest rewards for Tanks and Healers?

I could even suggest that those rewards change over time, always based on their representation, this means, the less they are present the more you get as reward. This is what would create balance. Also maybe it would be possible involve less penalty or less difficulty for failing to completing a M+ with those less represented classes, this is inclusion and everyone likes a system like this right, and this is what Blizzard is aiming for lately isn’t?

What you’re talking about is balance.

they try to balance the classes. But there’s just too many mechancis thrown into all fights now that it’s nearly impossible.

The other side of this, is that the “inclusiveness” to any sort of dungeon isn’t blizzard’s restrictions on classes. Any class cn do mythic.

the problem is the Mythic+ average player culture is toxic as heck and is about winning as fast as possible without care about the player itself. So, if you’re on a class that’s not a Meta top, it’s the player base excluding you.

that’s a toxic trait of the mythic+ system that won’t go away unless Mythic+ is gone and the “GO GO GO” mentality is eradicated

This is not gonna land the way you think it will.

so premades can just have one person swap to the current least popular spec for big rewards? nice!

Toxicity of M+ culture gets greatly exaggerated by players who don’t like M+. I agree that groups trying 12s and up often gravitate toward the meta for that season, but there’s nothing personal in it. Many of those players rerolled to play meta themselves and expect other competitive players to do the same. They are enjoying the game their way, and looking for that experience.

I’d like to push higher someday, when I can develop a team of like-minded players, but right now I’m mostly tanking 10s because many of my friends got their portals and took a break till next season.

I really don’t find a lot of toxicity in 10s. Even when we miss the timer it’s mostly “close, good try” and “gg”. Yeah there are occasional exceptions, but most pugs are fine.

All I can tell you, is I used to tank pugs.

once the mythic system was introduced, the entire attitude of LFG/Pugging/GOGOGOGOGO changed so dramatically that I refuse to tank anymore and will straight up not do Mythic+

IMHO, Mythic+ was the biggest mistake of WoW and it changed it from a social MMO into an esport and brought in a lot of players who are only here for the toxic competition.

So ya. I hate mythic+ and it’s part of the system that is hurting keeping tanks and healers playing.

I wouldn’t be upset if it was completely removed from the game and all those mythic+ players who are only here for the esport go away.

I had a couple ideas but I also dont really push high keys or pug much.
-make m+ titles spec based, if youre playing off meta it should be easier to get title
-Cap damage scaling at a level where all tanks and healers feel balanced
-add specific class interactions so all classes have at least one dungeon where they feel needed.

I support you in enjoying the game your way, and it’s fine if you don’t enjoy M+. For me and my friends, it’s our favorite part of the game. Not sure I would even play WoW without M+. Hanging out in discord, strategizing and improvising together… I love the fast-paced action, the comradery and teamwork.

I really like this one!!
I bet even the most competitive players would get into this.

Not all are toxic (and don’t want to imply that)

but a massive amount of the toxicity that does get generated in esport like environment of mythic + has bled over into the rest of the game.

Look at what happened in week 1 with Delves and the people trying to get their T8’s done onf rresh characters because they demanded full champion gear by the time mythic was launched.

we can go back in time to the advent of Mythic (MoP if I remember) and since then, every single season, we can see a dramatic change, where the overall concensus of non Mythic content is, that these mythic players are toxic and ruining the non mythic content for them.

the “GO GO GO GO” mentality can be seen today in TW dungeons with Twinks going full tilt and wiping constantly because they don’t care. it’s about getting to 80, geared and esported up.

yet, they’re actually ruining the gameplay for the rest of us. I DOn’t tank any pug as I said because almost every single dungeon I get hate for “going too slow”

No,. I go MY pace. Don’t like it. Tough. But it’s just not worth it. So, tanks, healers and those of us who don’t have the same mindset are generally not welcomed even in non-mythic content.

Mythic was basically Ion’s “Elitist Jerks” ego being ramped to 11 when he got control over development.

this existed long before m+ was a thing

Its funny because before m+ you could only upgrade gear by raiding.

Only on the WoW forums can a new path to getting gear, which is more accessible to everyone…would it be considered elitist.

Been playing since vanilla, and no it hasn’t.

you get some of this near the end of an expansion pre-mythic. but you still generally had the mindset that the tank and healer set the pace and you did the dungeon, usually fully.

this idea that everything needs to be done in record times, under a timer, and instantly, with only the mindset that the dungeon should be completed in the shortest period of time is a byproduct of Mythic system, and encouraging players to do timed content or lose.

it trickles down to non mythic because Mythic players act in the same way in non mythic content.

I honestly would love if blizz segregrated the servers and put Mythic track on their own realms and queues, and left the rest of us without the esport mindset.

Vanilla / SOD at least has that going for it. Though I prefer retail cause it’s newer content.

I am sure all 3 of you would enjoy having nothing to do.

i saw it plenty in cata :man_shrugging:

New paths for gearing are fantastic.

the way Mythic+ is design to be an esport and push toxicity is not.

do you have any source for this other than “i think it stinks that it’s possible to fail at anything”?

Not designed to be an esport.

Designed to be more accessible. And it it.

Its the fastest way to get high end gear. Due to being easier than raiding, spammable, and giving rewards even for failure.

you sure as heck didn’t

no mythic in Cata.

and heroics were sure as heck not GO GO GO GO

you’d wipe almost instantly. Heroics in Cata 100% required slower, methodical paly styles. CC’s, stuns, interrupts on mobs.

That in itself is good. I like that. But it also didn’t play well with GO OG GO GO GOG Go.

Tol Barad easily took a good 45-1 hour to get through if you were doing ti right.

your memory of the difficulties of Cata are either made upo, or about Cata classic.

Cata heroics were difficult. without the time and esport mentality.

Never thought the concept of DEI could land in dungeon planning.
