So damn stupid how imbalanced this game is. Was leveling a warrior and now I see how bad it is. Literally 94% into level 59, and after seeing new sims I don’t even think there’s a damned point in getting the other 6. Jesus you people are absolute trash at making a game fun.
Nobody wants to play a subpar class. Tune the numbers so we all do similar damage at similar item level. Arms warrior shouldn’t be doing 4k 3 target dps while a ww monk does 8k on 3 targets. Get real, your game is busted.
In an ideal world that would be goal of balancing. Realistically it’s utterly impossible. When you factor in spec playstyles and interactions, different content/encounter types, variations of stats, gearing and player skill, etc, there’s just no way you’ll reach perfect balance where everyone can do the same damage in all situations. They’d have to reduce classes to just three abilities. Actual people are not sims, not everything is played perfect.
Balance tuning is an endless complicated pendulum. Sometimes it goes one way, sometimes another. We’re just along for the ride. If you aren’t enjoying warrior then try something else!
Its that common core math theyre using, lol.
DPS classes should be ABLE to do the same DPS…IF played perfectly…and obviously less if not.
Same with healing specs…they should be able to heal the same as any other healing spec IF played perfectly. Less if not. If the POTENTIAL is there, then its on the PLAYER to learn his class.
Otherwise its more about the class than the player…which is deranged in a multiplayer game where we’re all competing
Its no wonder net decking is such a big thing in this game.
I assumed Blizzard would not go this route unless they had an ironclad methodology to keep all classes and specs viable through all forms of content. I know this has not been the case for most of WoW. Occasionally they have gotten it right. But I always give them the benefit of the doubt going into a new expansion.
But based on what I have read here, I don’t even want to play my rogue knowing what awaits them in Torghast. This is a complete failure on Blizzard’s part to hold up their end of the bargain.
All DPS will never be the same, but I dont see why they cant make the difference between the top and bottom dps much closer than it is. If they did that, people would/could play what class they enjoy .
Then whats the point of calling a mage “mage” or hunter “hunter” . Might as well make them all play the same so they can in no way do different dps and be called as damage dealers instead
They’re never going to perfectly balance the classes. It’s just not possible, and to be honest, it’s boring. If everybody put out the same DPS regardless of skill level, what would be the point?
That said, there’s a 30k difference between the average DPS of Unholy DK (top) and Assassination Rogues (lowest average), according to Warcraft Logs right now. Considering we’ve been stat and level squished, and how low our average DPS currently is anyways, that feels like too big of a difference.
But yeah, I understand that they can’t ever perfectly balance the game. Well, without either horrifically homogenizing every class or not releasing content for so long that they eventually get the tuning just right.
