Just an idea to help solve some gameplay issues in PvP that seem to go unaddressed:
Make a PvP talents and PvE talents tab at the bottom of the talent pane. Class trees and Spec trees would be similar, but by doing this changes can actually be made to the Class and Spec trees that would not effect the other portion of the game in either direction.
For example, Honor talents could be added to the PvP version of the spec trees or class trees, certain talents can be removed or nerfed (thinking micro cc things), certain defensives could be removed, mobility could be dealt with without affecting PvE at all, etc. Major changes could be made as necessary, but rotations would largely remain the same as most of the adjustments would be coming to utility/defensives/mobility ideally.
The PvP talent trees would only be active in War mode or any scenario with PvP activated, otherwise the PvE tree is automatically selected. This would also allow PvPers to view what their abilities actually do without having to rely on target dummies working properly.
I think one of the bigger things stopping PvP gameplay adjustments outside of just tuning is largely due to the fact some things will just affect PvE negatively. Right now they even make changes that affect PvP negatively because they prioritize PvE. PvP and PvE are basically entirely separate at this point anyway, I think they should lean all the way in so they can actually deal with problems from both PvP/PvE.

Well, it would essentially be what we have now with the trees but a separate version for PvP. So most things like damage rotations would remain the same, but they could make big changes to CC, defensives, mobility, utility, etc without it effecting PvE at all. And they could then make PvE changes without worry of it effecting PvP.
Do I trust them to do it? Yeah. Do I actually think they would? Probably not. Just throwing it out there though
We already have this, the trees you see are riddled with pvp modifiers.
I like this as a concept, but the majority of casual players (and the overwhelming playerbase majority) do not like this. Blizzard has gone on record several times that they dont want to alienate or confuse players by having things drastically different from one mode to another.
You’re better off writing this on a piece of paper and flushing it down your toilet. You’d have a much higher chance of someone at blizzard reading it. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a blue post in the PvP forums tbh…
Yeah I mean thats definitely the biggest counterpoint, but it feels really necessary at this point honestly. I think with the current trees we have, actual rotational gameplay doesn’t have to be much different, just CC/defensives/utility would be different, but maybe thats still too much?
I’m curious how much overlap there is now between PvE and PvP, I get that it can make someone who wants to try pvp have a slightly more difficult time, but at the same time it would make PvP itself easier to get into if thats all you want to do.
