This is one of the secret sauces to make WoW Arena great.
Duo play is a huge part of what builds and maintains a solid foundation for a PvP playerbase.
Idc how you have to do it. Dampening, special talents, modifiers, you name it.
Just balance the 2v2 bracket as its own unique form of instanced PvP with good rewards.
Throw a mount in 2s and shuffle dies overnight.

Idk man. After 5’s died it never really came back. Sometimes people need to leave things in the past because it was up for years and there came a point where things needed to change. Shuffle has been that change.
Mostly any damage dealing spec without a mortal strike. Ret, Enh, many casters.
Essentially give them all a MS and slap a mount in 2’s and watch the participation climb and maintain.
Ret is super viable in 2s and doesn’t need an ms
Enhance needs defensive buffs and maybe some way to get kited less, doesn’t really need an ms
Every caster spec is viable and doesn’t need an ms (yes, even fire)
Agreed that 2s could use a mount tho

I greatly respect the 2400 in 2’s, grats by the way that is very hard to do, but I disagree.
Yes, most of these specs are viable in 2’s as they are. I’m even starting to push 2k in 2’s on Ret just messing around with my wife.
But I want a more even playing field with regards to MS in the 2’s bracket specifically.
Whatever workaround is needed I am game for. Tone done Ret utility included if needed.
But I will agree the rewards are not good and a mount is good enough for me.
I don’t think most 2’s players want there to be incentives because then real players will play the bracket and they’ll be put on farm and will never see an ounce of high rating even playing OP specs.
A vast majority of 2’s players would never see 2100+ again if it had real competition.
More players pushes everybody up, friendo.

Ms is a tradeoff for not having other things (unless you are a demon hunter)
Maybe if ret lost lay, bop, freedom and sanc and was left with only 2 minute sac it could have it. But it still has the distinction of being the only truly ranged melee in the game and that might still be overkill

Mag is very good but people better than me have said warrior is really bad in 2s right now, relative to everything else

I’d say that the two of them gap basically everybody else playing.
