Druids are essentially, legitimately unplayable in PvP and being affected in PvE depending on situation by a bug that is trapping us in forms, making us unable to shift, and being stuck with the caster bar during that “stuck” window (while in form!). Obviously people who shift a lot (PvPers and Cat mains) are extremely affected by this.
This is not hyperbole or overreaction, this bug literally breaks our class.
Please upvote the linked thread, post for support, or whatever resources you are aware of to get this noticed by Blizzard.
The issue im having is that you’re locked into form so you have to utilize a cancel form macro to make things work. Not ideal since you cant have the all in 1 macro but its better than nothing.
This issue needs corrected ASAP. Even opening up your spell book and clicking bear or cat form does not work. My cancel form macro does NOT fix this bug. I literally run around as a cat or bear with my humanoid caster bar as well. I have tried this with and without addons and am getting this bug regardless. Please PLEASE PLEASE fix this ASAP.
This is a “semi-fix” for it… it’s not the fancy macro’s were used to but they do work and won’t get you stuck in a form or unable to cast.
But if you hit it on the GCD you’ll be put in caster form for a sec, same with accidentally double tapping the keybind. GL

There are literal functionality problems with the class embedded with the game, like being stuck in form and not being able to leave, in addition to that sometimes having the caster form bar as the active viable ability selection when in an animal form, making you a vegetable for 3-5 seconds.
Are you using any scrips or are they macro you’re using? Also what addons do you have running? I am told that there is an update bug and that a clean install works but you then have to do almost everything over in terms of your client setup. =/
take that info with a grain of salt, its just what I saw in guild chat. Not sure how accurate it is.
It cannot be fixed except by a client hotfix. It is not an issue caused by addons, nor is it an issue in the lua interface code, but rather a bug in the C code that is not setting the final form ID and sending a shapeshift event to tell the lua interface. The bug appears to only happen when powershifting (shapeshifting from a form to the same form, ex. using a /cast !Any Form macro)
Unfortunately using powershift macros is the bread and butter of cat dps in TBC.
