I don’t see any notification of maintenance this morning, but was disconnected at 7AM. Anyone know anything about the length of maintenance today?
The standard notice for maintenance is on the Battle.net launcher, but the earlier restart was probably for this:
I had the same issue. The message is now showing if you try to login. Maintenance should be done by 8:00 PDT.

FWIW, the current maintenance notice says maintenance is scheduled from 7 to 8 AM PDT, which is now, so I guess they rolled the restarts for the item upgrade issues into the scheduled service event.
I was wondering why that when I tried to load in and then it showed an error message saying no servers are currently available or something like that
Just that: all the realm servers were shut down. That happens at some point for most maintenance events.
