I’ve made my point in my first post and I’ll stick with it. There is no excuse for an 8 hour downtime for a game that is not getting an update. The gaslighting you are performing is kind of ridiculous. It makes you appear to be a Blizzard employee. Imagine telling people in game forums to go outside and not worry so much about a game. How about you go outside and not worry so much about other’s opinions?
Anyways, I’m done here since I have better things to do then argue with someone looking for an Internet fight. Have a great day.
Being nice to others is too difficult for some people. They l like to call others “Miserable” but honestly they are the miserable ones. Looking for any reason to attack others and point fingers all the while just not really happy with themselves.
I’m guessing they are updating databases and specifically the main user identification Data base that allows access to all versions of the game and or the infrastructure that connects them all.
It might possibly be due to the update not being limited solely to the game. It could also include updating the main login and authentication servers, specifically the interface between those two servers and the servers the games are on. I say “possibly” because we’re not necessarily given a detailed synopsis of what the whole update involves. There are other, unrevealed possibilities but that’s the only one I could think of that meets the circumstances of this update.
… and sometimes the time is extended, often multiple times. As you said, “we will see.” If it gets extended even once, I can foresee “scheduled” maintenance on Wednesday and maybe even Thursday.
