surprise it is the jailer who started his partnership with sylvanas back in edge of night
I am sure that is what they will say, but if you believe that they actually planned this partnership out that long ago, I have a bridge in Brooklyn to sell you.
Watch for the coming retcons.
i dislike the retcons greatly. like how they say the legion got the helm of domination and frostmourne from the shadowlands instead of dreadlords making it
Blizzard is on their usual retcon high right now.
What other BS retcons will they pull out of their butts?
She made her deal with the Jailer in Edge of Night
Vol’jin dying and her getting promoted to Warchief was part of her plan
One retcon I would gladly take is basically the entirety of BfA. Everything would be so much better if they went from Legion to Shadowlands…
So the Jailer outranks the other spirits that died long before death was broken?
The jailer is suppose to be the watcher of the most wicked spirits, he wants out now I guess
okay i just read it again, are they saying she planned the broken shore. relying on a demon mortally wounding vol’jin but not outright killing him?
Judging by the scene we see with Sylvanas standing in front of him it doesn’t look like he had a choice since it looks like he’s chained to the floor.
Both can be true. Before the Nathrezim were Burning Legion affiliated they were void affiliated and before that they were just extremely adept at magic, particularly Necromancy. And as one of the first three Demons to come out of the “big bang”, it may very well be they have been involved in Death/Shadowlands even before the Titans were vaguely relevant
It’s as I and others have said before. They were placing both “hero” and “villain” hooks in her story since even before Legion (which is why the writing felt so inconsistent) and now that they’ve finally committed to the “villain” story, they are going to go back and scrub out all the “hero” hooks no matter how hamfisted the retcon.
that is really really dumb. but blizzard’s writing is as consistent as my self-esteem
This entire story line is a sh!t sandwich.
This is the most egregious as Sylvanas spent all of her time as Warcheif cursing Vol’jin for making her Warchief.
dat 445d chess game amirite?
I’m pretty sure this is going to be another example of “Sylvanas lying in her own head” that makes all these statements so jarring. Is there not a pretty significant sample in Before the Storm of Sylvanas’ private thoughts disliking her position of Warchief?
there is a part of bts where she is cursing vol’jin for making her warchief in her thoughts
And at the end of the expansion Bolvar will walk up and say, “There must always be a jailer.” Then put on his helmet and tell us to go away.
It was a WTF moment for me. The moment he said it, I just shook my head in disgust.
