I am also on TDS with the same issues since last night. I have submitted and have been responding to a ticket and no troubleshooting has helped. It looks like I’m getting total packet loss at certain hops.

TDS here when I ran the CMD prompt pathping to both Pacific and Central Servers I got the following message:

Pathping 24.105.62.129 >c:\pathping.txt

Hey, when you go to run CMD right click and run as admin. Should work then!
Before you open CMD prompt, right click on it and select ‘Run as administrator’.
Stuck on, Logging in to server. It happened yesterday when I was randomly disconnected then could not get past Logging in to server. I created a forum post about it and multiple people are having this problem. Somebody replied today and said using a VPN works. I am located in Georgia and have played this game fine for over a decade. Now out of nowhere I am forced to use a VPN in order to play… lets not mention the fact that if I want good connection while I play I need to buy a good VPN. So in order to play your game right now it requires 15$ a month plus 15$ for a decent vpn. PLEASE FIGURE THIS OUT IM NOT THE ONLY ONE.
Greetings all,
TLDR: Nord VPN solved the routing issue and ping latency is very low (this is a good thing). Sux to pay for a VPN but it works.
I just wanted to report back on this. I downloaded and ran WinMTR for the West and Central IPs for World of Warcraft. It is 100% a routing issue. This explains why I can log in to Moongaurd and not any of my other realms without a VPN. There seems to be some sort of region wide routing problem that exists at the ISP level.
Adding the line SET disableAutoRealmSelect “1” in the Config.wtf file allowed me to get in and create a new character on a different realm, but I cannot play any of the 6 chars I have on the Zul’Jin realm.
Hey everyone.
So a large number of these are players using TDS, but there were a number of folks from other locations mixed in. Could be the same issue or maybe something different with the same symptoms.
Thank you to those who posted the Pathping results. Nothing stands out that I see in any of them to suggest a specific issue.
I would like those who can, to try a different connection. This could be using a VPN, Connecting to a mobile hotspot (Make sure wifi is turned off before enabling the hotspot) or an alternate internet service all together. (Friend, Family member’s internet)
I’d also like us to try a different connection test. Ping Plotter.
(There is a a free version but you may first be in a trial that will have the option to purchase or switch to free when the trial ends)
I would like 2 tests. 10 minutes long, while actively replicating the issue. The first test using your normal connection. The second test using that alternate connection I mentioned above.
Once you have that, reply back to this thread with the following:

State/Province:
ISP name:
Pingplotter results Normal Connection:
Pingplotter results Alt Connection:
TDS from FT.Carson, CO. Got the same issue. Did everything the ticket said and no progress.
Using a VPN works. Not using a VPN does not work.
