Hello,
I would just like to add that I am on TDS in Denver and seeing the same issue. Stuck at “Logging in to the game server”. Hopped on my mobile hotspot for my phone and got right to the login screen. As far as I can tell my Internet is fine and having no issues. I am going to reboot my router and try a few other things.

There is a shorter ping plot. It seems like Denver/CO area TDS is on the struggle bus for some reason. No trouble pinging the west coast server.
@Moshi
The alternate connection the VPN provided changed your routing to go straight out from your network to their host getting past the TDS network I see in the original pingplotter. Otherwise the connections both look normal with latency and data integrity.
@Baridor
You did not mention what the alternate connection you tried was and both of the results you shared appear to still go through the TDS network. Were you able to connect to either? I noticed you used different target IPs.
@Eilae
This appears to be your normal connection. It isn’t showing any issues but neither has anyone else’s tests. We would want to be able to compare your normal connection to an alternate connection if possible. (VPN, Mobile Hotspot, Alternate Internet Service) But I suspect much like most of the others, using an alternate connection will work if it is not being routed by TDS.
@Douebonlift
Those look like target addresses you would use for the test but are not the tests themselves. We also are looking more for you using an alternate connection as opposed to testing to a different datacenter for WoW.
@Ahruunnteer
That seems to be what I am finding with the provided pingplot tests. No latency or data issues but if the connection is routing by TDS to the central service its unable to connect. VPN’s and Mobile hotspots changing that routing appear to be the work around.
@Everyone
Definitely keep the responses coming. If you have not already done so, we also recommend reporting the issue to TDS as well. They won’t necessarily resolve it with you over that contact but its more about getting them enough reports to help them investigate further.
I’m having the same issue with TDS.
-
I called TDS twice today and they keep saying its an issue with Blizzard blocking the connection from TDS.
-
I created a Blizzard ticket and they said its an ISP routing issue.
-
I found two ways to connect; my phones hot spot (AT&T) or a VPN – while not ideal, at least I can play now.
This is not just affecting players who live in the USA i live in the United Kingdom but play on a US account due to my work hours (easier for me to raid on US realms) and have charcters stuck in instances as the loading screen when loggin in refuses to go past 80% just sits there till the server eventually kicks me
it is curious bc im from a different country (Bogotá, Colombia) and the same error happens to me and some friends, so i don’t think that is a ISP issue…
@Dionusys
You are not experiencing the same issue being reported here. If you have specific characters that you cannot login to, That likely means those character got stuck in an unsafe world state (Typically after a disconnection or crash)
Those characters that are stuck would need to be moved out of the instance either via the self help option on the support site or if that does not work, by reporting the specific characters as stuck via ticket submission. Make sure to include the name/realm of the affected characters.
So is Blizzard going to wait for us to make the calls and hope TDS will look into it or are yall also going to call and try to get to the bottom of this.
