[Main Thread] Singapore - Transfer Aborted: Instance Not Found

Real for me is Mal’Ganis
ISP is SingNet / SingTel source IP 42.60.138.0/24

I am a network engineer and web application developer that has extensive experience with NGINX.

There are thousands of players affected (noted at least in Hawaii and Singapore and elsewhere). It doesn’t only affect WoW but other Blizzard games as well.

Please escalate the issue and stop endlessly asking players themselves to perform diagnosis for you. Traceroutes does not show the problem.

I suspect several issues:

  1. Login server DNS resolution issues and giving out intermittently wrong records
  2. BGP tables updated and some are faulty (this would have been confirmed with traces but from the traces the players are giving, BGP issue is low)
  3. Load balancer issues intermittently sending packets internally after hitting Blizzard servers to the WRONG server where the user session is suppose to persist to (i.e. your persistence settings are incorrect)
  4. Load balancer issues intermittently sending packets to a DOWNED server or OVERLOADED server after hitting external blizzard Virtual IP. Packet dumps show intermittently after sending packets to blizzard IP blizzard fails to respond.

Highly suspect INTERNAL blizzard server issue especially #3-4.

Please escalate internally to your teams.

Are you guys still having issues? Fingers crossed it got fixed after whatever happened this morning, I’ve been testing with no real issues so far.

Same here, so far it looks problem is fixed.

Problem is still happening. Singtel ISP, Barthilas realm.

Was referred here by a blue, from Mac issues thread. Any solution for MAC users?

Also, the issue was gone for a week, dit not do anything. Then it came back immediately when the midsummer festival is over.

This seems to happen ONLY when they do stuff to their servers, looks like they are making us download softwares to run and hoping they could find some blame on our side when it is quite obviously Blizzard server issues?

I am also getting the same issue after the festival ended. It got fixed last week but same problem again started today.

same problem is back again. Never had such issue previously. Please fix this :frowning:

Same here, from Singapore.
It is really annoying, I feld down to the ground during flight, died with no reason…

HERE WE GO AGAIN

This is unacceptable, we pay for this blizz cmon. I shouldn’t have to use a vpn or do all sorts of troubleshooting nonsense if it’s a server issue.

Used to be 90-110Ms for me.

Now it’s 155 - 200ms

Sometimes it goes up and down faster than a stock market pandemic.

I hit 7000 last week.

Any news when Blizzard will be fixing their servers yet?

Been a while, and problem still happening.

I’m having the same issue Transfer Aborted: Instance Not Found.

Had re-install wow and remove all Addons still same issue.

What does ping & traceroute have to do with transfer aborted instance not found ?

Then can some 1 explain why recently like last week of June i encounter instance not found ?

Personally tried everything they recommended, nothing worked. Just gotta wait for server reset, if that still doesn’t work we can probably riot.

Still happening now after server reset. It’s really getting annoying.

his happen again on all of my character.

During BG or Dungeon or Zoning in and out of portal in Orgrimmar and Nazjatar.

Even when using flight master to fly to another zone upon entering a zone i will get dismounted and and fall to my death. This has never happen before to me.

i even remove all of my Addon and re-install WOW still the same issue “Transfer Aborted: Instance not found”, i also when to system setting to disable “Optimize Network for Speed”.

Please help.

drop 3 arena games and flagged as deserter in one night. bump this for more awarenes

Same problem here , same issue, started around Monday when oceanic people cannot log in game at that time, after that, i have experience zone lag, instance not found issue. Please solve it Blizzard

I’m in Sydney. This problem has basically cut me off from all my toons on USA realms.

Any change of instance, portal, hearth, boat, zeplin has a good chance of not working for 2-3 attempts. Moving to or from a USA realm has a good chance of a DC. (BLZ51914001)

So I am content playing my Oceanic toons for now, but would like access to the others at some point.

I’m in Queensland, Australia (ISP is Optus). This has also been happening randomly to me for the past two weeks, and it only happens when queuing arenas. I’ve tried disabling/reinstalling addons etc.

This is getting beyond a joke now. I’ve easily thrown away 100+ points because of this.
