I can’t play anything Dragonflight so I’m running around Zereth Mortis on a level 60 druid reliving the old days.
This is definitely a server side issue, could be they didn’t expect this many players logging in after summer vacation begins for students and the July 4th weekend. There are probably too many players for these combines server instances.
Whatever it is, the game is nearly unplayable at the high end of the skill cap. M+ instances are having the same exact issue. Dispels, Purge all late, tank asking me if i was AFK. Players standing in 500% avoidable mechanics.
People just going POOF! and nothing hit them, just a release dialog.
Can’t even log out to disipate the toon your were on. When i log into another toon… it is right there as I look at it from my alt.
AL+F4 to get out of the game.
/reloadui works fine.
Portals don’t work.
Zoning is a complete gamble, between 45 seconds or 3 min.
I think the game needs an emergency restart.

same issues. all across different contents. Was in draenor to do some posts quests and after exiting the garrison, no nothing appeared. tried to log, nope. tried to exit game, nada. ended up shutting wow down manually thinking it was my pc, or a wow update, tried a repair on game, did the unstuck,
nothing worked, then once on log in screen, i get a login error (“A character with that name already exists”) and again last night and this morning in dragonflight. … Sure would be nice to play the game since we all pay for it.
Same issue here. It’s getting beyond annoying, they need to fix their game, they’re already under hot sh*t for the stupid decisions they’ve made at work, the VERY LEAST they could do is have their dying game running.
Last night on my Blood Elf Hunter, I was doing the Sin’Dorei Heritage questline. I got to the part where you’re sent to enter the Sunwell Plateau. At the loading screen, it froze and wouldn’t budge so I had to force quit the game.
This moring, I log onto her again and try to enter Sunwell Plateau. It doesn’t do anything at all so I wander the Isle of Quel’Danas for a bit, getting distracted but then decide to just leave. Neither my normal or my Dalaran hearthstone worked so I decided to log out and log back in. Now I can’t access her period and I disconnect at the loading screen every time.
I’ve sent multiple tickets to Blizzard with no response. I tried a self service character move but it said my request couldn’t be proccessed. I tried waiting for hours, resetting the UI, repairing the game and still, nothing. Blizzard is of no help to me so I’m turning to forums. Has this happened to anyone else? If so, what did you do?
I’m having the same issue with my rogue that’s logged out near Black Temple.
Its only my rogue that has this issue and I’ve been locked out of it for close to 24 hours at this point.
Maybe the same issue as this?

Seems like there may be a specific issue with logging into the Dragon Isles.
I can log into all my characters that are NOT currently in that area, but all of my characters that are there get stuck in the loading screen when trying to log in.
My Demon Hunter and Rogue are both in Waking Shores and cannot log in.
My Warlock and Evoker are both in Stormwind and can log in without issue.
Anyone else seeing this issue, specifically?

I nearly had an issue logging in to a character that was in Stormwind. I’ve yet to try other places, but that’s a bit of a “well, i don’t have a character anywhere else” kinda moment.
Did read and see some people have issues with FH and UR dungeon loading screen.
Read that there were people in Draenor having issues too. So it seems to be a lot of areas, just how bad?
Across ALL servers too.
Hubby and I are currently experiencing the same issue. He has four toons, are show logged in but cant log in. I have one.
I submitted a Character Move request for my Demon Hunter, and afterwards I was able to log in, in Waking Shores.
YMMV.
Tried that as well, but didnt work.
going through the same this. was in another area earlier and i was stuck, nothing around at all, no nothing. got on another toon to unstuck my main, worked but soon as i tried to leave it happened again. now tonight I’m trying to log back in and its hanging on load screen or tells me that this name is already in use. So it isn’t just me then having this annoying issue.
now getting world server down.
I’m having same issue. Yesterday, no problems, logged into my main toons, but seems like today, anybody in DF is stuck, all my toons in SW or elsewhere are fine. Please help Blizz, or at least acknowledge everyone.
It comes and goes with my characters. If I log in to a character for the first time that day, it will log in, but if I log out and try to log in another, it will freeze.
Hanging with a full bar loading progress into Valdraken … Alt-F4 … char. screen shows my character without a zone name … try again same result.
Use the ‘move my character’ page on the web site, character gets moved to Valdraken and I mange to log in.
10 minutes later get stuck again trying to zone into Valdraken … get stuck … NOW I CAN’T USE THE ‘MOVE MY CHARACTER’ SERVICE BECAUSE IT HAS A RETARDED 8 HOUR COOLDOWN!
WTF? Activsion implemented this service because the couldn’t fix ‘out of bounds’ problems years ago and put an 8 hour cooldown on the only way for a player to fix the problem. 
In my experience so far with this issue it has always been DNS / IP related. If I change between OpenDNS, Google or Cloudflare it will occasionally correct the problem and I can login and play again. Other times if I enable or disable a VPN to change my IP then it works.
Seems like some programming issue with how the game interacts with the client on a network level while in certain zones and those problem zones change weekly.
Also, for me it seems to have become an issue with the introduction of the fyrakk suffusion world quest events.

It’s most definitely a dragon isles issue. I’ve been dealing with this for 3 days now and have managed to get some characters to load. However I still eventually get d/c when trying to load into an instance. Been leveling a new character today and have zero issues in the old world.
