I connect to servers and can get in to most of my characters, but on in particular (one i’m posting under) won’t sign in. I can log into some of the others, but not this one. This guy earlier, was trying to run M+ but kept getting d/c and “character already exists” and now i’m not able to get on at all.

This character, same issue, I log in but the world is empty, then I get disconnected, then I get “character already exists”.

Just got this issue, myself.
Not on the character I’m posting as, but on an alt. I tried logging into them and I got disconnected. Tried again a few minutes later, got disconnected. Tried logging into another character, they got in fine. Tried logging into the stuck character and got disconnected again.
Just now I tried the “stuck character move” option and all I got was a 5 minute long loading screen before getting disconnected again.
I’m gonna try logging into all my characters and see if any of them have the same issue.
Edit: okay, tried 2 more characters and got the same problem. I’m not risking any more characters.
All characters were in DF zones. I logged into my Belf Rogue who was still in Oribos just fine. I logged into a lowbie in Org just fine. Logged into my lvl 70 Orc Shammy who was in Org just fine. Tried my 70 Velf Warlock who is parked in Valdrakken and got disconnected.
Definitely DF that’s causing issues.
Edit 2: Was able to log in Zaralek. Had a character parked there.

I can log in to characters in Orgrimmar but not in any character that is in DF zones

Tried logging in my main, stuck on character select. I log in an alt that’s in Stormwind, and check my guild page and it says both characters are logged in, even though they’re on the same account. Can’t log in any character in Valdrakken right now. Gets stuck on loading and have to task manager quit the game.

Also happening to me tonight and last night. It’s pretty annoying not being able to play certain toons.

yeah it seems that a character in the Zaralek Caverns can log in too but still nothing on the ones in Valdrakken (which is most of the ones that I use the most)

I’m having similar log in issues as well. I can get to my character select screen, but when I choose a character and try to log in, the loading bar fills up and the game just hangs forever. First it was one alt in Valdrakken that I couldn’t log into, then almost all my characters in Valdrakken are having trouble logging into the game. A bunch of them no longer show their location on the character select screen and if I try to log into any of them I either get the “A character with this name already exists” message, or the loading bar fills but then nothing happens and I have to force close the game. The alts that I tried in Stormwind don’t seem to have any problem logging in.

same issue on two toons currently in Valdrakken. Was able to log onto a toon in Oribos
Update, tried Unstuck, said it worked, now game telling me this character is currently unavailable.

Blizzard literally doesnt care. This wont even get a response and they wont update us on anything going on.

Same here. Started with one toon. Now i can’t log into any of them… Yaaay for my long weekend. I hope this gets fixed. I had plans to play during my holiday weekend. I already went through all of the prescribed self help things before I thought to check the forums and saw multiple people with issues. Hopefully Blizzard isn’t on staff holidays too.

I was having this issue on my account. I hit the scan and repair button on the launcher and everything is working now.

Same issue I can log in to any other toon even if they are in df zone but not my blood dk who is probley in the cavern.

Ya this character has the same problem either get disconnected or character already exists…
All of my other characters are fine tho

i have the same problem and i did notice on the log in screen that toon is the only one that does not say where it is at.
