Main problem isn't the loot

Low drop rate + elitism in game is what killing it.

When people are pushing and you ain’t getting invites because u dint get the rng to get the loot, then people complain.

Classic got low drop rate and people would bring anyone they could find because its more casual.

This whole hardcore esport is what killing the game.

Make wow an mmo again

naw it’s the utter rot their apathy has caused.

Bring back the legion/bfa loot system. That will be a start.

To be fair you could do more casual stuff as any class and probably do all parts of the game. no block to lfr/heroic dungeon

Loot is part of the problem.
Raider.eieio is a massive part of the problem.
Killing the casual market is also a substantial part of the problem.
The pendulum swung to far to the hardcore and now, people are losing interest.

Yup and when blizz sees the numbers of people not running the content they’re trying to funnel everyone into, they’ll see their attempt as a failure and maybe learn but then again this is blizz they never learn.

I fall into this category. I stopped playing SL content a month ago. Running alts in older xpacs now.

classic loot is entirely different system. Each item has only one version. You don’t need to refarm your entire gear with normal, heroic and mythic. No need to refarm items from +4, +10, +15. You get item and it’s over.

Gear caps out at what 13 this season? Not sure, but yeah. 13 tiers of gear grinding. That’s insane.

I dont even touch dungeons anymore. Any alts in shadowlands right now are being leveled in bgs

I may start doing that. To be honest, it’s the only true way to gear in today’s time.

Hmmm…we talking about the same classic?

Dont do the regular bgs, do epic ones
Win or lose after about two or three of them you’ll have close to 3k honor

But the drop rate increased so… /thread?

What a thoroughly original opinion.

Since when? It’s massively reduced since bfa to heavily rely on the vault.

Nah, this is like, what, the 3rd time they’ve tried this “hard-core raid or die” mentality.
It always blows up in their face.
Problem is, everytime they try it, WoW loses a ton of players.
If it drops down to 2 million ish and then drops more because of this, where are we gonna be then?

Well if you ignore the vault it will indeed seem like it got reduced. If you are honest and not do that you will see that it represents a massive increase in loot drops.

If you raid you are getting 1-3 times more loot. M+ players are getting 1-3 times more choices and pvpers have a very good deterministic system.

A guaranteed drop at the end of the week is equivalent to a boss dropping 22 itens for a group of 20, even if you ignore that you can chose the item within a pool of others.

Even on the worst case scenario where you are clearling 10 raid bosses and doing other activities you are at least getting the same.

isnt low drop rate the reason for the loot problem? so yes its a LOOT problem
