Main Chat Channels Missing

Hello,

I transferred a character and when I did it seems to have caused all main chats to disappear. I have tried doing /resetchat, made sure all channels were enabled and visible for that chat frame, I have tried doing /leave trade and /join trade, etc. How do I get this fixed so I can see General, Trade, Services, etc. chats on this character?

Try clearing your cache folder before doing the ui reset if resetting the cache alone doesn’t work.

Thank you for the attempt, I just tried this and it didn’t fix anything.

If none of the steps in the above Support Article helped, you can try deleting/renaming the chat-cache.txt file.

  1. Make sure you have closed out of the World of Warcraft client.

  2. Go to your World of Warcraft folder > _retail > WTF > Account > {wow license name} > {Realm Name} > {Character name}

  3. Change the name of the chat-cache.txt file to chat-cache.old.

  4. Restart the game.
