Hey just wondering if we can have the little mail icon back that was at the character screen. Like a person like me that has well over 12 toons and does a lot of mailing of gear etc it would be real handy to know who has mail and who doesn’t that way I’m not spending my day going through 50 characters to check mailboxes.

General census is that it is currently bugged, but I haven’t seen any official affirmation.
It is currently still showing on beta according to some of the same census, so it will likely make a return between now and Shadowlands launch.
Just turned off. It was added in the pre-patch but some performance issues were identified so it was turned off so it could be looked into.
Thank you for this. I’ve been looking and searching all over trying to find an answer to where the mail icon is. Looking forward to seeing this in Shadowlands (hopefully).
I’d also like for it to come back. More sorting and utility features for the character select screen, please!
So that explains it! I downloaded Altaholic again which does track mail. I really loved that Blizz was. I have a bit of a sad now. Hope it is fixed.
Apologies for replying to a post 6 weeks later, I’ve seen this response posted in a number of other forum posts, but no other information. Is there a ETR available for the bugs it was causing? Or even an ETA for it being re-implemented?
If/When it’s being re-implemented it will most likely be announced in a blog or hotfix. Blizzard generally doesn’t give ETA as some players forget what the “E” stands for. The closest I’ve seen lately is when they announce something will be live with the next maintenance.

Please be aware of the date of the thread you’re posting to. Anything over a few weeks is considered a necro, and despite what our resident warlocks may like to believe? Necroing things is a bad practice.
That said, there are add-ons out there to help keep track of everything from mails being sent/received, to logging every item each character has. I’ve used Alt-o-Holic for several years and it’s heaven-sent for all the crap I need to find between all of my alts on my multiple servers.

Please avoid necroing a 2yr old thread im pretty sure theres no way to hide it you can ask in the ui macro forum for addon. Advice.
