Mag'har Orc Warlocks?

Really? Blizz, are your devs high or something?

The idea of a Mag’har warlock is an oxymoron. They do not exist. And unlike cultural stereotypes (say, draenei seldom being warlocks), this is a physical impossibility. A Mag’har orc cannot be a warlock and still be Mag’har.

Mag’har means “Uncorrupted.” Uncorrupted by the fel. The use of the fel turns an orc’s skin green if it isn’t already. That is an objective, biological reality of being an orc. Thrall’s parents did not drink Mannoroth’s blood and yet became green-skinned due to proximity to the fel. Thrall inherited that skin color.

Every orc who uses the fel also turns green. Gul’dan was the first. In Warlords of Draenor, our first introduction to AU orcs wielding the fel are Gul’dan’s freshly-converted warlocks. Their skin is already green.

If you use the fel, and you are an orc, your skin is green. You are not Mag’har. This isn’t my opinion, this is a fact. That’s it. That’s the lore.

So back the fel off and make sure that Mag’har orcs can’t play a class that is physically impossible for them to be whilst maintaining their identity.

they don’t care anymore…so i don’t think we should either :broken_heart:

just enjoy the game while it has life left imo

This is a company that didn’t even have Cenarius as a possible answer to the question,

“Which Wild God did Grommash Hellscream kill during the Third War?” in a LORE QUIZ SHOW.

if I didn’t care, I wouldn’t play
oh wait… I only play Classic now anyway
I still care, but won’t play retail

Bit dramatic. Nobody cried when taurens become rogues or mages. It’s a race, I remember a long time ago everyone was like: “PLEASE OH BLIZZARD OH MIGHTLY BLIZZARD PLS OPEN UP ALL CLASSES TO ALL RACES PLSSSSSSSSSS”

what’s dramatic about it? the writing is getting worse imo :eyes:

Well yeah, the writing sucks. But I think you’re being a bit dramatic about the game getting worse because they’re adding more classes to other races.

Lord Banehollow trained them to the max level before the Green Skin could manifest. He’s a good teacher even if he planned to eat their Souls in the end.

Same could be said for the other Orcs until they started dabbling with demonic power. You have no argument here.

i don’t think the game is getting worse but i understand the confusion. :grimacing:

i mean the lore is getting worse - so caring less is probably going to save some headaches/broken hearts - cuz i don’t think that area of the game is improving at all. not even when they open class/race combos…cuz the world suffers at the end of the day.

didn’t blizzard say the world is the main character? it should be taken semi-seriously imo

Should we all just make a thread on each race as to why blizz shouldn’t make them a warlock?

Get over yourself. It’s happening. Move on with your life.

Lore fell out the window years ago.

I mean I’ll admit, it’s weird. It doesn’t make a lot of sense to me, especially Lightforge, but I don’t think it’s a big deal. It’s great for people who want more race options but fro a lore stand point it’s weird.

By this logic only orcs should be warlocks. But that has never been true. Not all warlocks are corrupt in the way orcs were.

Who cares. Its a game, its not real. The more options the better. Limiting classes to certain races is an old outdated system and i for one am glad they are slowly doing away with it.

11.0 will 100% have 1 or more of the more difficult classes eg. Pally, druid or shaman added to all races i guarantee

i guess gameplay-wise it’s an improvement, which is a big deal at the end of the day…

just old veteran issues i guess :broken_heart:

Why do y’all still care about the lore?
Especially now, after Sobald da Jailer said it was “jailing time” and jailed all over the place.

…What?

I’m just saying that a Mag’har orc is a regular “orc” in WoW. The race-class combo of a “mag’har orc warlock” does not exist because it just makes you an “orc warlock.”

Try a little harder.

There’s no we. I only care about the mag’har in this case.

The rest make sense to me. Lightforged is off but whatever.

I’m coping, basically. Clinging to what’s left

Red shirt guy?

the problem for me is that their credibility is so low that the fact that they said it means it should likely be automatically dismissed as ‘not true’.

This statement is not always true. Should gnomes get an option to have fur? Does that option make the game better?
