I feel like this is silly. Just because one class can do something doesn’t mean everybody should be able to do it.
Evokers are going to have loads which make them fun and interesting. Soar being one of many things. This isn’t that big of a deal.

You’re right, we can cross a continent and get to capital cities instantly. Wahoo, we can do what a Hearthstone does.
Soar let you get everywhere else at triple the speed of a flying mount.
you keep ignoreing how soar works lol
your not always going to be able to get max speed not to mention being able to get to a high peak to gain momentum its not a 100% 9000 speed racial lol

Still need the MoP ones for mounts.
The Leigon hippogriff would also be much easier to beat other players as Dracthyr, even if its only to one.

Exactly my point Mages have their special and useful thing they can do that no one else can and if we want to talk racials Vulpera get an hearthstone to wherever they leave their tent
Like starting to wonder if people acted the same towards demon hunters when legion was coming out with their double jump and glide
what are you benefiting from then for doing so if you can move that quick across continents faster than a Dracthyr can as a mage?

Because if they decided to nerf it in the future due to other classes its “Why Nerf Soar now just cause its avaliable to other classes!?!?!?!?!”
Once again. This argument only holds water if you believe that dracthyr should never be allowed additional classes.
In the time it takes a mage to cast teleport…you zone to Zuldazaar. Then you are 3 feet from a thunder bluff portal.

Does it get you to raid instances? Does it get you to events? Does it get you to WQs? Does it get you to Crates? Does it get you to anything that’s not a capital city?
If yes, then Soar is objectively better than Portals in a huge amount of scenarios, at least more often than Portals are superior to Soar. I remember walking EVERYWHERE in SL, instead of being able to portal about. Maybe I missed some buttons?

Says who? Blizzard say they’ll eventually add it in the future. But flying was added in TBC and didn’t get added to other zones until Cata with a whole world revamp, 2 expansions later. You’re also assuming that adding Dragon Riding to old zones is easier then adding classes to Dracthyr.
So you support the dracthyr never having other class options in the future?
I think its bad to make any race only one class. Or any class only one race. I’d like to see it opened up.
You seem to be persuaded soar works just like a flying mount you do know that 3× flying speed was max right? If you used soar on a Dracthyr and went straight up you’d rapidly lose momentum slowing down till your no longer flying and instead falling rapidly to the ground where you will die if you don’t activate your glorified slow fall

Ok. Well I asked you personally twice.
I guess you dont want to give your views on if the dracthyr should only be allowed to be evokers…forever.
Mages have fixed locations but the locations are main points of interest. If you are in lets say Ravendreth and you have cooldown on hearthstone and you want to go to Oribos, it takes like 5 minutes to fly there. If you are not a mage it takes like 5 minutes to find a mage to port you there.
You are still mentioning the 900% speed. But as a mage you can farm almost any old content raid or dungeon faster then Dracthyr. You want to farm Onyxia? Port to Theramore. You want to do legion raids? Teleport to order hall and you have portal to every Legion zone. Northrend raids? Teleport to Dalaran. What can Drakthyr do? Hearthstone to stormwind fly to mage district tower teleport to dalaran. By the time the dracthyr is in Dalaran the mage is already in the raid.
930% speed is perfect for dracthyr if it is slower it does not feel as good. If it would be any higher it would be hard to control, or some old PCs would not render objects and textures fast enough.
demon hunters can glide in raids and dungeons it does not matter how fast what matters is they can do it while others cannot.
Dracthyr can fly at 930% speed but only once per 5 minutes. The speed of Dracthyr is balanced by the long cooldown.
Druids can pick herb while mounted, it is instant cast and it does not have 5 minute cooldown.

They should for lore reasons just like Death Knights shouldn’t of been added to allied races

They should only be evokers? Never learning how to swing a sword or shoot a bow?
