That nerf wouldn’t be very noticeable…
They’d need to be 30 mins to 1h to feel it a bit.

Gonna fly faster to goldshire then all the Dranei and Night Elves on Moonguard such a huge disadvantage that will ruin their game
I am well aware of the portal options. There are not portals to every zone, or multiple places within every zone, as is being implied here.
That’s a bit of an exaggeration. But portals are very convenient letting you travel to any major city from anywhere in the map. You can travel through whole maps with a simple click. Soaring, you have to actually put in work.

but using them to get to an area and on a 310% mount or if have the +speed gear on a 490% speed mount in SL will get the way quicker then a 5min CD Soar ability

Literally there is no stopping and floating in the air once you’re up you’re moving and if you stop and land or more likely till you’ve perfectly mastered it screw up, lose momentum and then plummet to the ground you’ll have to wait 5 minutes to soar again

Its regularly been stated that if someone else is soaring at 900%…you can just hop in a portal and make up the difference in time.
That has been a constant theme. That portals can regularly help in making up the travel time vs someone that can soar.
Then they also talk about how soar isnt that useful anyways, because you cant really travel that far in it.
So…2+2.
The same people telling me you cant get that far in soar anyways, are the ones telling me you can regularly use a portal option to make up the time.
Which means…following this line of thought. They are either believing, or attempting to make others believe…that there are so many portal options constantly around the world. At minimum. In every single zone.
Now here is the amazing part.

Its gonna blow your mind.
Having Soar does not prevent you from having access to those same portals.
exactly so why does it matter if someone does a old irellevant quest or pet battler quicker than you?

If anything, per the arguments you are making. Soar needed the nerf. Based on your statements.
They’d probably still win on a flying mount because Dragon Flying isn’t as easy as people seem to think it is
same zone from same place or? cus they can only fly on 1 continent cant soar to another continent

Why are you using Soar to go from Org to Thunder Bluff in a timely manner. When there is literally a portal in Org that takes you there.
Last I checked there isn’t only a Zeppelin
