I’d like to see a different iteration of the mage tower with it’s own rewards. It was a fun challenge to see how you performed on different specs, and got a nice limited time reward.

EDIT: Crap I didn’t realize this was a necro…

I am very disappointed that they haven’t brought it back yet. How could they not have ran with that? As popular as it was, I would have made that a Staple to every expansion moving forward.

Bring back Legion’s Mage Tower as a scalable timed event, and make a new one for BFA (as well as all future expansions).

Now you have even more monthly content to bring players back. Even more drive to master a class and level up alts.

I agree, i also think that they should bring it back, the mage tower rewards were a great addition to the game now they have taken it away. If you ask me it makes the game play less fun and less challenging.

I agree they could have just called it a feature they do from now on i feel sorry for the people who loved it but for me didn’t like it to much but don’t regret doing it either.

I hope they bring it back but make it virtually impossible or 1000 times harder.

Who cares about your effort.

You’re lucky to have the time to do all that.

Some people, with normal lives/jobs/responsibilities have limited time to play.

since the tower came out i only managed to get druid/lock/shaman because i just didn’t have the time or the other classes leveled. And leveling classes, gearing them was pretty time consuming when I had to mythic raid.

Now in BFA i’m a paladin and I kinda don’t care but at the same time feel like I missed out.

I had a jobless friend literally go 12 hour sessions to get 36/36… it was really unhealthy and ruined several relationships in his life.

the tower was up for like a year. 12 months for 36 specs… and the first like 6 months you had to be pretty well geared…

it was just to much for anyone that wasn’t a hardcore player.

When they first came out it was hard, but by the end of the expansion it was easy enough that anyone could do it. I think that scaling is fine, and tbh kind of fits how RPG difficulty usually scales (time+effort=RPG difficulty scaling)

This is a lie. The affliction warlock one made us dump everything that gave us dps for mobility because the guy would one shot us, then made it a DPS race. Locks had to have way way higher ilvl to complete theirs then anyone else because of this.

Not if they scale it down to make it just as hard as it was back then. Personally I missed it and don’t think I should have the right to earn the mogs, but that is just me.

The snooze you lose mantra has been in the game since it came out, ie the bears from the troll raids, and the tiger. I don’t see how they could bring back the towers now without spending more time adjusting it to the current state. I’d rather them spend the development time on fixing flipping bugs that still exist.

Not everybody agree’s with you sorry to say. i don’t see the harm in bringing it back i think it would make the game better.

If you missed out (had not yet started playing WoW yet), then I am sorry about that.

For everyone else… Blizzard was super-clear before, during, and after about Mage Tower, and it’s non-availability afterwards…

Doesn’t phase me in the least, I have my mage tower xmog that I wanted. The facts are no challenge mode events ever go beyond their current expansion and it’s about time you realize this and stop acting like you’re entitled to something.

That is their issue, blizzard allowed them to be up for much longer than they should have and if you didn’t have time for it, thats too bad but new expansion, new caps meaning these modes would no longer be a challenge. Hopefully before the end of this expansion they will create a new challenge mode for you.
