You are right that they lose less value compared to SL gear when everything scales down to ilvl 50. But the difference there is marginal at best. The triple gem socket gear from MoP does have good value though that we can agree one.
However, i don’t think the gear choices address the issue that the difficulty right now vary wildly between specs. Everyone’s experience so far is so different.
Yup, and it’s a pita lol I’ve never been a high DPS Druid tank lol I’ve been a beefy tank boi
Nonsense. There’s plenty of threads about people wanting a harder solo experience with rewards in line. Usually they’re referring to increasing their world quest gear ilvl though. But for covered skins, I feel like the rewards are in line with the difficulty
I don’t think there were many people who were looking for 7.3.5 difficulty, but Mage Tower difficulty was a spectrum. That doesn’t mean they were necessarily looking for 7.2 difficulty either.
Personally I would have liked 7.2.5 difficulty. I’m fine with 7.2 difficulty but if we’re going to make it that difficult, then the incredibly short time window 2.5 times a year is completely unacceptable given the amount of time and effort investment that the content demands.
Mage tower is an absolute freaking joke. What company with half a brain releases something in a different state than it was tested on a public test realm? Pathetic. Absolutely done with my subscription if we don’t get a statement or a tuning patch.
That’s another point of argument in a lot of the posts right now.
Is this a choice or a requirement? Based on other TW (which are only dungeons and I never did TW raids), old gear with funky scaling is an option to make them more fun and fast.
I get where you are coming from. But right now, this feels like a requirement.
For me, that the same mistake of SL - the terrible feeling of having doing korthia to raid
No it’s totally not.
I myself played when Tower Mage released in Legion.
For Holy priest perspective we have some adds that are mages that cast arcane blast non-stop.
Back in Legion when Tower released these mages required 4 arcane charges to hard hit one of the allies you must heal. Now in 9.1.5 these mages one shot at 1 arcane charge any of your allies.
Allies in Legion like today didn’t scale with gear, so yea, this is mostly a tuning problem.
PD: Now we also have less resources to handle it since we have no borrowed power and we have same base spells as in Legion.
This is exactly that lol. So many people want the werebear form. It’s one of the most coveted skin/mog forms. For it to be that popular, it should be difficult. This is that.
And there’s also been hundreds if not thousands of threads asking to bring the mage tower back. Not rehashing content, just giving the people what they asked for =/
I’ve admitted to this. I couldn’t complete the original 7.2 MT on my rogue when it was curious. I’m doing better now than I did back then though!
As did I see my previous quoted statement
I’ll admit that I cannot speak on the healing aspect. Never tried to heal one, nor will I ever. But from my prior experiences to current, on par.
And if people are complaining about the Guardian Druid being too hard compared to the last one, I’m kicking myself for not trying to get the werebear as I’ve gotten fairly close on multiple accounts with this current iteration!
If we were able to look at the exact reasons as to why people left, I’m sure the “didn’t balance Feral” and “mage tower too hard” reasons would be shockingly low whereas the majority just get bored or outgrow the game. Purely speculation, but I don’t think the reasons you’re thinking people leave for are that high of a percentage
This whole ‘‘but its just like launch’’, but you were able to progress, get better gear etc… what do you do here with some close calls, farm old content or something for gear
