You’re twisting what I’m saying. I’m NOT defending Blizzard’s wishy washy actions. Are you bored or something? Stop wasting my time.
I got all the appearances I cared about in Legion and I think they should bring them all back one way or another.
I don’t think anything should ever be permanently removed.
if anything, them bringing back legion appearances is a precursor to them doing the same for WoD/MoP Challenge modes
Keep dreaming.
You’re discussing principle. How Blizzard should stick with their choices. However, as time goes on, their choices change. That’s what I was highlighting.
I don’t think anyone needs to present a reason “why” they should come back aside from “I’d like that”. That’s how it was for Classic WoW. When it boiled down to it, after numerous “reasons”, Blizzard saw that people wanted it and they went back on their word of “You think you do, but you don’t”.
It’s a nerfed version of the MT - and you know, we don’t have to collectively grind for resources and wait for it to be up every third week and then make sure we grinded for the currency to do it. So, I highly doubt it’s going to give the time-locked achievement associated with the appearance.
So, in that way, I wouldn’t expect the other things to come back (should they come back) in quite the way one would imagine.
Thats completely different as the classic servers don’t affect anything in retail.
Classic was because of private servers. Largely. It made them money. 4 mogs out of a possible 28 from legion for druids is not making or breaking the bank. If anything, if they reneged on time-locked achievements now, that would negatively impact their ability to incentivise players for future expansion type achievements. It damages the good faith between customer and company.
I would’ve preferred that blizzard made new mage tower bosses for shadowlands, could even do something like have us fight some of the old raid boss souls that we found when we picked up uther’s second half. The whole thing for me was the fights more than the weapons. The fights were dope I couldn’t care less about the mogs so it saddens me to see they are just recycling the same fights instead of making a new challenge mode.
It’s not arbitrary, it was timed around the expansion and broadcast as such long before Legion ended. Just because you don’t like it doesn’t make it arbitrary.
Please stop exaggerating. Mage tower mogs are such a small percentage of weapon mogs that pretty much everyone except Druids are only throwing a fit because they can’t have them, otherwise they’d be just a few more mogs in an overwhelming sea of mog options.
Why not expect more druid mogs? Why does it have to be old ones brought back? Blizzard has a good art team that they should employ for such things.
The argument of exclusivity is valid. There is no reason why blizz should have to cater to your entitlement
I am terrified beyond the capacity for rational thought at the prospect of fighting Kruul, a Fel-Worm, a God-Queen or even Mr. Raistlin again. Oh! Did I say terrified?
…I meant excited.
-Taliesin voice- EEEEEEEEEEEE! ^ _ ^
LOL - is that the big tank guy? I can’t remember. I know I’m excited about the Imp Mother again.
Imp Mama was fun too. I did it on 4 classes last time. I think I’ll do it on four different ones this time for forms sake. If this is how they brought back weapons / armors (like recolors on the Pandaria CM Armors), then this is something I’d totally be cool with. The key thing for me is to make sure that the challenge is such that it doesn’t marginalize it for the people who did it the last time. Clear that hurdle and I am sold.
I think most would agree, more activities in game are always a welcome thing!
Can I ask, what you did Imp Mother on? Did you do it on cat?
Negative. I did it as an Elemental Shaman. I am thinking of trying it this time as a Rogue, or maybe as a Cat. Any recommendations Rhay? I am the sort of nihilist that likes completely unfair solo challenges that remind me of my own mortality.
…Like enslaving Pit Lords and running from massive Demon Lords hopped up on ungodly amounts of power before they murder me. —while jamming to Bad-Apple on full volume for fun. No I am not even joking. That’s what I was playing when I beat Kruul.
Classic was created due to the market also licenses were expiring and Blizzard wished to keep them. Blizzard has broken faith between it’s customer base many times you’re just against this particular one because it affects you.
Times are changing no longer will people pay and get screwed out of content just because it fancies some other player. I see it daily where so newish player asks how to get something only to be disappointed it’s no longer in game.
You know what’s really sad I see people defend exclusivity for ingame content that they paid for. I see no difference in paying now, 20 years ago or 20 years from now.
Content is another matter - this isn’t what people are on about. They’re on about the flashy skins. That’s it. And if you think that reversing 17 years of precedents on rewards tied to time-locked achievements is the magic elixir to fix this game, then I think it’s good you don’t make the decisions in the boardroom.
I’ll likely never use it but glad for people who want this change. I’m happy it’s recolors though. Originals should stay exclusive for people who did the content when it was current.
I’m the last cat to ask. I just remember back then our aoe was pretty … lack lustre and as you know, you kinda got to aoe the little guys in there pretty fast. I think it’s going to be easier for everybody this time around I wouldn’t mind trying a caster one - I never did them.
