Bro it doesn’t work that way, what came first is how the model is defined. No need for exceptions, and changing of priorities if newer/harder appearances pop up later.
Well Ill be snoozed, I didnt think they’d do it, but I guess you can never underestimate game developers and what they might do.
I know Wowhead theorized about the gear but its my opinion they wouldnt bring it back without also bringing back the rewards it gave. Otherwise why bother?
My only hope is that it will be as difficult as it was at the start. If its a cakewalk that will be sort of sad because a challenge instance should be, yknow, challenging.
Next: opening the quest chain to get the legendary cloak. Let people who never got it the opportunity to do the questline so they can go say hi to Ordos. No boss fight in the game should be locked away from players because of an arbitrary cut of content.
They brought it back because people have been asking for it. They wanted solo content that is a challenge. The artifact appearances are most likely not making a return and we are going to get the only transmog item in the patch data mined information, t20 recolor. Keep excitement at a minimum until Blizzard announces something but the artifact skins or recolors of those skins seem very unlikely.
As I say, thats what has been datamined so far. It could be so, since it is old tier sets.
Of course, if it is the tier gear, we will then have…“But I want to do it for the original lookz, not the challenge!” 
Because they’re doing what a bunch of people complained about when the MT was first retired. They’re bringing back the story and allowing people to complete the quests and see the content while also giving them a different reward not tied to the original tropihes.
There is zero hint of them bringing back the original appearances. It’s much more likely the T20 sets are coming from the remixed MT. Which is good.
I really hope they bring the old appearances back for those that missed them. I’m so glad I already got mine, the tank one was so hard for me without the increased range legendary for thrash, and the healing one was pretty difficult for me the first time as well (it might have been a different class but iirc I had the hardest time with resto druid)
Keep hoping. Only 5 of the original 7 challenges have been data mined and if that is indeed all we get it would stand to reason the original rewards would also not be coming back. Only time will tell but it sure is shaping up to look like t20 recolors are the new reward.
As someone who did get the legendary MOP cloak during its time, can never forget doing those pvp parts in DK starter greens, it would not bother me one bit if they allowed players the chance again to earn the cloak. I am not asking for recolors or the like but the same exact cloak I busted my butt during MOP to earn if I remember it took me right up to the final day before it went away to get it which now to me stinks because I have new characters I main and would like them to earn it as well.
Yes I can transmog all the cloaks but it isn’t the same as wearing it and seeing that thing come out of the back.
Back to MT 2.0 even when Blizzard does release this again and I have a feeling they will I will be just as happy with recolors so those who got them the first time can keep their precious. As for the T20 sets many say are from MT going back through the article they did not say it was from MT just could be so anyone saying that yes they are isn’t knowing everything we just have to wait and see.

However your comment that many want it back just to do it. I dont believe that for a moment. Every post Ive seen is from people who missed out on getting the appearances, especially the druid tank one.
I just wonder how interested they will be in doing it if that appearance isnt available. And how much longer the requests for it will continue.
The only thing I’ve gotten from your eye-rolling replies to this topic is that you’re just another one of those players with the typical “tough luck” or “too bad” responses in correspondence to your superiority issues because your ego will not allow you to process the thought of other players having those appearances that makes you feel so special. If they do add them back, I’m going to be one of the first in line to laugh.

I hope they actually give us just 1 new reskin of the magetower rewards so this topic can be closed for good and forever. Maybe even cycling it for timewalking and not having it fomo content.

I knew I’ll see a lot of people being sour, they want to be special. Though, it doesn’t necessarily means it’s the same old Mage Tower. Maybe only the new mogs.

Issue is, it’s unique models. If there were recolors available through other means, these MT threads would have been extinct ages ago.
Blizzard has, and will continue to, recolor loads of things. People keep saying, “they said it was limited”. That’s fine. It’s limited. They however, did not specify that the models used for those appearances are limited.
This is the Blizzcon mount from 2017. Blizzcon items are 100% exclusive. They are never coming back. It’s always been that way.
This is a fricken’ recolor of that exclusive Blizzcon mount. If Blizzard is willing to recolor their Blizzcon rewards, they can recolor this thing.
They said the MT skins are time limited, sure, the grey/blue/black whatever color is on those models is limited. The model itself is not limited and shouldn’t be limited. If that’s the case, then why did they recolor Blizzcon stuff?
(Same can be said about the Blizzcon Bear and the frosty bear thing for the 30 year anniversary).

Ok, after some tought i changed my mind. I really don’t care if the artifact skins come back. I don’t “flex” items and mounts, i just use what i find cool. I did most of the challenges just because the fights were cool and i wanted to see how they feel on each spec.
But i still want some new rewards. And i want that blizzard keep the f thing in the game instead of removing it when the expansion ends.
Some of y’all still don’t get it. Most of us don’t care about the “exclusivity”, we care about the principle. Blizz says retired, it should stay retired. Period. No fs given if the rewards are recolors of the appearances. I’d love for the rewards to be even BETTER than the original appearances so that everyone can be happy.
