Okay here goes…
I want the mage tower bear form… There I said it :3 I should have put the time in Legion I know, I snooze I lose but hear me out the Bear form is pretty legit I’m not asking for every appearance to come back but I have my fingers crossed for either;
A-Scaling down to Mage tower with old artifact equipped and the chance in intervals like timewalking to go back to old challenges and get the appearances I didnt get before
B- New Mage tower but with the bear form back but a different colour and the people who completed the original Mage tower get special colours that you cant obtain now
I love tanking. I love transmog. I hope this gets implemented because I want a ware bear.
Is there any old challenge mode things you guys wish you couldve got or had an altered appearance now?
I wish I would’ve spent time in the Mage Tower for my Warlock, my DH, and my Death Knight. Once I saw those rapiers for my Rogue I was like…“I want that. NOW.”
I’m always annoyed when they remove content from the game. Leave the achievements in place for those who do it when it’s current, but especially for stuff like the Mage Tower or Green Fel Fire, with the scaling technology and scenarios, there’s absolutely no reason to not be able to run the challenges at the locked item levels.
I’m not a fan of them removing content, though they did give fair warning and ample opportunity. I still kick myself for not getting into challenge modes during MoP for those sets.
I’m gonna be the dissenter here and say that the appearances being time-locked is the only reason I bothered on my characters who have them. If I could just get them any time I’d have all 36 and it would make the ones for specs I dont play particularly well mean less to those who main said spec.
Make new MT like challenges. CMs and MTs of past should and probably never will make a return. They are there as trophies for those that accomplished them at the time. Blizzard gave plenty of notice to obtain them
Next time people should put in the effort when Blizzard says they’ll be gone
The other problem is that some of those challenges were built with mechanics that had the Legion tool set in mind. There could be issues from a scaling stand point if your spec no longer has a tool to handle a specific mechanic.
Too bad. Look forward to challenges they do in the future and enjoy the artifact skins you can still get. Bringing it back in any capacity would be them blatantly lying to the people who got the skins when it was announced they would be time limited. Also
This would be exceedingly boring. I want new skins, not old ones recolored.
Gonna be totally honest here: I’d be totally fine if people could earn the things I have that are no longer available in-game. Anytime someone sees me on my Pandaria phoenixes and asks me how to get it, they’re disappointed when I tell them they’re unobtainable. I really couldn’t care less about how exclusive my mount/item/gear is. Lots of people I know missed out on the opportunity due to not playing at the time when they were offered, and if it’d make things more enjoyable for the majority to be able to get a shot at earning these things, I’d be all for it.
Just wait like 15 years and Blizz will probably have a Legion server up and going. Then you’ll have your chance to do the Mage Tower the proper way for bear form!
As much as i want mage tower skins back for class’s i didnt get,
i like having my trophys from past expansions,
It motivates me to get to get them before they are gone.
We had plenty of notice that they will be going next xpac.
I would rather they offered a different color to them, if they offered a mage tower re opening. Anyone who got the original could still be special in that regards, but it would still give people who missed out on the skin itself or the mage tower experiences a change to obtain the new coloration(s). It would also be something for people to work on unlocking who did complete them back when they were current content.
The main issue with trying to scale back the mage tower is, in BFA they removed a lot of the talents, and abilities used back in legion, some which were pretty much required to complete some mage towers.
Myself, would think it might be pretty cool if they had saved templates of characters (the build they used and gear) who completed each mage tower, and then offered it as a Challenge Rift, like how Diablo 3 does that. If you can go in with that pre set character, and beat the mage tower challenge under the amount of time the preload did it, then you unlock that mage tower! (I know I know, more diablo stuff, everyone will hate me for even mentioning that, but just an idea, to get past the scaling / lack of skills).
